yesterday I popped to the shops on the bike, and thought I could hear a rattling noise towards the rear of the bike, after a little investigation, I've found my aftermarket clear rear light cluster has broken.... :(
it has two read plastic domes set into the rear unit, that shine bright rear when lit. one of the domes has lost a tiny screw and fallen into the light unit. so I had to prise the unit apart. silicone it back in place, and the silicone the unit back together, not sure how long it will last for tho.
oh and I had my cab vandalised today. smashed window and stolen documents. I fecking hate the uk at times, this being one of them

The bastids. Had to deal with something pretty similar with Julies car a couple of weeks ago. They didn't get away with anything valuable but we've had to put up with a week and a half of inconvenience and lose out on our no claims.

It's not nice when something like that happens, especially when it leaves you out of pocket, plus all the aggravation in getting it sorted out.

Both of these things remind me when I had a stereo system stolen from my car many moon ago. I only just fitted it and was very proud of my brand new 100 watt speakers (this was a long time ago). The sods had the check to unscrew those 100 watt speakers, they never bother with the other speakers,

Top coat or two on the fork lowers off the Red Shed...whilst they were drying...

Stripped & referbed the callipers I swapped over the other day, no major dramas with stuck pistons so all is good, must of been a huge air bubble in the brakes, that made them so bad when I brought it home...

Back to the forks, tapped out all the threads, fresh oil, rebiuld...job done.

Gave up for the day & will rebuild the front end tomorrow with a fresh head...

Once thats done I'll start on the rear...

Rebuilt the front end with the shiny fresh painted forks...

Before I boxed it up I did the bobbins on the front discs...fek me they were tight on one side ! Took fooking ages just doing one side...

Percyvered, just took a long time

Anyhoo got it all back together decided to leave the rear end for now dont want to rush it so it can wait till I get me arm back...

Got some funds for my birthday which are apparently sufficient to order the Brembo RCS master cylinder for the sp2.
Only the domino twistgrip to go now....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
