If you back the damper right off you should hardly feel it, then add a click every few miles till you get the best compromise between slow corners and high speed stability

The little knurled knob or the rod right hand end as fitted. Clock wise is more damping, CCw is less

Well tonight's post should have been "Bled all the hydraulics, brakes are now super sharp"

Instead...

Drained front brakes, completely failed to bleed new fluid through, so now have no front brakes at all. Bleed pipe came off so fresh DOT5 spilt all over the calliper and front wheel.

Rapidly rinsed off with soapy water.

So now I have a bike with no front brakes sitting in a puddle in the garage.

I f*ckin' hate bleeding brakes.

I think I'm gonna take the callipers off, it's like trying to do keyhole surgery trying to lock and unlock that nipple between the brake pipe and the fork leg.

This might help http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speed-bleed-v ... 53df9ad33c or you could get a mate round to to make it easy. Get him to do it. Brake fluid everywhere  :eek2 :(

I know, it should be, but so far the only step which has actually gone right is the bleed nipple weren't jammed!

After that it was down hill all the way (with no brakes!).

They certainly would help! I've been trying to use some EZ-Bleed pipe things, but I haven't used them for a while, and they were for the car. I don't think the bike brake has enough pressure to blow past the ball thingy, so nothing happens!.

Will the bike gravity bleed? Maybe I should try that. My car's rear brakes did that... Took a couple of hours, but it was most relaxing.
