I've got a giant bean-bag and a fridge full of beer. Will that do?

I won eventually... I took the callipers off. Far easier to release and lock those bleedin' bleed nipples. Pushed the pads back and then wedged them apart with some random lumps of metal from the scrap pile.

So tonight it'll be the turn of the rear brake and the clutch... They should be easy (only one pipe)... What could go wrong???

Good luck with the clutch line.....Takes a good 20 mins of pumping to get it bled, last few times I've done it.

Oh gawd! Thanks for the warning... I'm half tempted to deploy the compressor and back feed it, but I know it would go horribly wrong and etch half the paint off my tank!

Well done mate. There's more than way way to kill a cat. Back one should be easy. You can have one hand on the spanner with finger on hole, and one on the pedal at the same time. And the reservoir is right in front of you to keep an eye on.

I wombles knew it. After I posted it I suddenly thought one finger.MMmm Two would have been better to avoid those sort of comments.

Got BSM's undertray nuts n bolts on, only lost 4 nuts in the process. Then some carbon bling attached to engine casings.

Got pissed on going home and then I synced my carbs as they had not been done since the exhaust etc.

Anyway, I see why 20 minutes is quoted for bleeding the clutch... The fluid reserve is so small that if you look away for 2 seconds you'll suck more air in! (Maybe more than once!).

Anyway, clutch has certainly got lovely new fluid all the way through it now! I think I use 1/4 litre on that alone!

Let's see if that stops the slight clonky gear change.

Rear brake was a doddle, although not as easy to check as the clutch (put in gear, pull clutch and try to push it). Guess MOT man will let me know.

I might have another go at the front, I suspect they could be better...

Leaving the brake lever held in with tape, zip ties etc overnight is supposed to help
