Marty, I know that feeling............. we are in the process of selling our house, and MrsMcQ is on a tidy mission so it all looks great when people view the house.
net result is I cant find anything, and when I ask her where she might have hidden something, she denies all knowledge of touching it.......... so I eventually find my bike gloves up in the loft.........go figure why that makes sense.
I expect to get ready for Yorkshire on Friday only to find I cant find my helmet

........... and when I get back from Yorkshire I have fears that my garage will be emptied

I have had two welders apply weld to my crankcases, neither of whom seem able to prevent coolant from falling out willy nilly.
(That's a technical term, by the way).
I am, and am likely to remain, annoyed.
However, technically, today ends in less than half an hour, tomorrow may be more palatable., let's see.

Big_Jim59 wrote:I must get this off my chest. I can rebuild a VTR. I can strip my Norton to the bare frame, strip the engine down to the crank (it's bolt together) and build it back to running condition. I can even rebuild an Ossa Pioneer and make it run but, for the life of me, I can't make, an almost new, Weed Eater run for two season in a freaking row! I have a huge amount of trimming that needs doing. With the recent rains it's even worse. I need a dependable string trimmer or I won't be able to find my car in the tall grass. I have three of the fockers in my shop and each one has it's own demon. I have pulled the starter rope so much that one arm is bigger then the other and my chest feels like I am having heart trouble. I have worn a blister between two fingers on both hands! I have been into the carb, traced the fuel lines and cleaned it to within a inch of its life. I stink like premix and carb cleaner. It will run but not long. It will run really well if I pour premix down its gob but only until the gas treat runs out. I know I probably need to replace the gaskets but it's only a year old. I will order parts rather than buy another one of these piss poor devices.
I just hate these two stoke torture devices.
I had an anemic electric one for around the house but I burned it up. It just couldn't take the strain.
In my experience these little buggers hate stale fuel. My advice is get some fresh fuel but don't mix too much up. I've had the same arm exercise/blistering experience.
