Well that's better I think. Started quicker on choke than it's been doing and apart from stalling once it idled much nicer.. Sprayed contact cleaner in the ign module plug and blew it clean....definitely was a poor connection on the green/bk to temp sender and TPS. which I adjusted to 500 ohms... It was at 545 but with the dodgy other connection it may not have been doing much. Certainly smoother at idle....thanks Mac.

oh oh my new storm has just been lifted a few mins ago so will see what iv bought tomorrow at some stage

An unattended bag of grass seeds has apparantly attracted unwanted critters. And not the chinese kind, these are more local and a lot more visible, or at least their remains are
So on todays list is cleaning up rat sh1t and setting up traps. Hopefully the cleaning up part will make them move their nightly rave party elsewhere

First & most important thing to do is remove the food source !

Then try & find where they are getting in & block it.

If your setting traps use somthing like bacon or suasage & check them every day preferably in the morning.

Dont be surised if you have no takes for anything up to a week as Rats are Neophobic & will avoid new things in their environment until they are sure about them...

Can you get a pic of the droppings with something to scale them by for me ?

OH & always ware gloves when doing any cleaning or removall of dead ones...

XSR700 turned up, so removed the pillion peg hangers, added some tank pads, fitted my Quadlock phone mount, removed the optimser lead as I have a different one, thats about it so far (had to get the bins in for Wicky):

I’m afraid it wasn’t just the plastic box the little buggars filled with sh1t Tony. But I intendedly zoomed the photo in a bit. Please don’t get me wrong, but I try not to reveal the contents of the shed too much when it comes to uploading photos. Cheers, Martin

Many thanks Mac . As far as I can read from your posts, you’re a pro, so any advice from you is much appreciated. I’ve cleaned up all the mess and removed the source of food as you mentioned. It looks as if the perpetrators are gaining access through some small gaps between the wooden beams of the roof structure and the brick wall where the beams rest. The gaps are now sealed with mortar (a repair I will never admit is done by me ) and the traps are all baconed up and awaiting customers

Good work Martin, you say mortar as long as it's a nice strog mix that should be ok... You need to check along the wall/floor junction as well for any access points...Stuff holes with wire wool then use the mortor to hold it in place... They dont like chewing wire wool...

The reason I asked for a pic of the droppings with something to scale them is Mice & Rats have different toilet habbits. Mice just shite as they walk around, so the droppings are quite widley scattered... Rats on the other hand tend to use a more compact area...

Easiest way to discribe the difference is Mice poo is like a grain of rice (black & shiney when fresh.) Rat poo is more like the size of a baked bean (black & shiney with a pronouced pointed end.)

Both their poos will take on the colour of what they have been consuming as well.

The other thing you should consider is having a look to see if you can find any burrows adacent to the shed/garage, if you can find any then look at getting some poison bait & baiting the burrows...

Your poo analysis is spot on sir
The epicenter was littered with bean sized poo, a chewed up plastic bag and 2,5 kgs of grass seeds.
The rest of the shed is er... unpoo'd

Stormed into work today... Bit spitty on the way in, did 6 jobs done by 12o/c...Stormed home & beat the rain...

Filled up, the one good thing about all this C-19 c rap is fule is down to 102.7...Wasn't long ago it was 'kin 130 p/l...

So I'm basicaly off for two weeks then back on call again...

Thats of course dependant on what Boris decides on the 7th...

Finally got around to it....
- Rebuilt clutch m/c (boy it needed it!)
- Fitted CBR600F4 brake m/c and rebuilt
- Fitted CBR600F4 reconditioned calipers+ EBC HH pads (ground purely off stanchion leaving calipers untouched, sadly marked it with some white primer), miss gold finish but silver blends in quite nice with discs
- Bled rear brakes
- Added some exhaust padding (I know, but still noisy, just deeper)
- Polished micron cans
- Fitted chinese BMW indicators ("recent" post on FB group, fit right into orig holes )
- Cleaned & lubed chain

Nicely surprised (?) that the CBR brakes were quite a bit lighter than orig
