Sadly, no.

But why has the owner just got back from the IOM TT?
That finished last June.

Maybe they're slower than I thought.......
Listing has been removed..... :(

As a follow on to the Black SP2 for £3000 on ebay, I emailed the guy for a location whilst the listing was still active. Next thing the listing had been removed. Here follows further email exchanges:

"I now see listing has been removed? Can I ask, bike sold or change of heart?
Regards
Tim"

"Hello,
Are you still interested ? The bike is still for sale. Immaculate condition, no damages, nothing to worry about. All necessary documents available. My current location is Scotland due to my work commitments. If this is going to be a quick sale, I will let it go for £3,000 delivered at my costs.
The deal will go strictly according to eBay Buyer Protection rules and policy.
Thank you

Franck"

REMEMBER, THIS GUY WAS NOT IN ANY HURRY TO SELL THE BIKE AS WAS STATED IN THE AD

"Thanks for your reply Franck. I was after your location as I would have liked to have a look at the bike had it not been too far away. Obviously, Scotland kind of kills that idea. I am interested in the bike but need a little time to think about your offer. If possible, could you send me the pics of the bike as I can no longer access your listing as it has been removed? Obviously, if you are away from your usual computer I appreciate this might not be possible.
Cheers.
Tim"

"You can view all pics at:http://s1079.photobucket.com/albums/w51 ... Condition/
Honda SP2 in excellent condition. This bike is truly awesome and becoming much sought after! The sound it makes when opened up is truly fantastic.
I've just returned from IOM TT and it never fails to pull the looks. Nice to have a bike you don't see on every corner!
I have owned this bike since Feb 2009 and the previous owner was a friend of a friend so the bikes history can be traced back to date of registration when he purchased the bike from 'Dobles'.
It is fitted with the following extras:
Datatool System 3 Thatcham Approved Alarm with original installation certificate & operating instructions.
Both keys present and 2 alarm fobs
Smartwater Forensic Coding System
Carbon Can Co. end cans cost £420.00 (originals included in sale)
Power Commander 3 (set up on Dyno with paperwork to prove)
Quickshifter & Gear Selected Indicator
K&N Filter (original included in sale)
Carbon Look Hugger
Carbon Look Indicators (originals included in sale)
Braided Hoses
Galfer Disc Brakes Front & Rear
Bike has full Honda Service History at 619, 3600, 9279 and 11171 miles and the previous owner did extra oil & filter services in between.
Current Mileage - 12143 miles
MOT till 01/09/2012 and TAX till 28/10/2012
New battery fitted just 2 weeks ago!
Bike had 2 Michelin Pilot Road 2 tyres fitted June 2009 (mileage 9279) and still plenty of life left in them (I'm not a particularly aggresive rider!)
So why am I selling??? Mainly due to lack of use (3500 miles in 15 months and 2700 of them in just 3 trips!) and I want to concentrate more on my Enduro racing. So I am not desperate to sell the bike!

Franck"
"

Hi again Franck,
Can I just ask one question. Why did you pull the ebay listing if the bike is still for sale?
regards
Tim"

"I had some troubles with the fees payment and I had to end the ad. I spoke with eBay and we still have their support if you agree to proceed. Its still for sale.
Fees were finally paid which make us eligible to proceed.
Thank you

Franck"

NOW THAT LAST STATEMENT SAYS IT ALL FOR ME.

Hands up who else thinks this is a big scam. As the old saying goes, if something looks too good to be true......it usually is.

And to finish.....

"And why would ebay still be involved with this transaction if we are not going to go through Ebay Franck?"

"I dont deal outside. Due to my location and since view is not an option I have requested personal support and I was approved to use Buyer Protection Program. Here is how the process works through the Buyer Protection Program:

- I make the private listing on eBay for you,
- you go and buy it through their website,
- you have to pay for the item to eBay to secure the funds,
- they confirm me that they received the funds,
- I deliver the van,
- you receive the van,
- they send me the money,

Everything is covered by eBay. I will get paid only after you confirm that you received the van in good order.
Let me know if this is acceptable. Thank you

Sarah

Franck"

"To start the official transaction, I need to know your delivery information. As soon as I have them I'll start the official procedure, and eBay will send further instructions including payment and delivery terms.
Thank you"

Well, bugger me, Franck has suddenly turned into Sarah. And why is he/she going to deliver a van to me.....? :D

This last part is identical to a scam my mate nearly got caught with to do with a campervan supposedly located in Spain.

Buyer beware.

Slippery fu*kers, do they try and fake the eBay communication, or did they just invent this buyer protection phrase?

Still playing with him/her..... I`ve just sent my contact details.....almost.....I`m now called Tim Smith and I just happen to live at the local police headquarters

Still, this doesn`t appear to have caused any problem as I have just received 3 emails allegedly from ebay containing an invoice and delivery instructions along with the sellers details (he "lives" in Dundee, well at leats today he does..... ) and an ebay buyer protection case ID number including (this is the funny part). And yes, if you didn`t know, they look very genuine.

"eBay sent this message to Tim Smith.
Your registered name is included to show this message originated from eBay"

The clever part about this is that as the scammer ended the listing after someone made contact, I have jumped through hoops trying to contact the real ebay about it but because the listing number does not exist the system won`t let you carry on to report the scam

Lets see how far we can drag this out.

Look in the email headers to see the originating IP address and find out where they are really located.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
