So according to the weather forecasts, we are probably going to get rain, it sounds as though we may as well write off the rest of May and first couple of weeks of June as shitty rain and cold

Really disappointed about that, I was really hoping we might get a nice early summer again before the rain sets in for the rest of the year.

I hate riding in the rain. Not only because it's cold, uncomfortable and hard to see, but because I have to ride slowly and never feel confident in corners. It's just not fun. I just ride along thinking about how filthy the bike is getting and how long it's going to take to clean.

but on the plus side, its good for the garden

strange as it sounds, as long as I have my waterproofs on and I am warm, I enjoy riding in the rain. You need to change the settings in your brain as its all about smooth and sweeping, but once I am in that zone I enjoy feeling for grip and reading the road as far ahead as I can.

i wombles hate it as i spend a lot of time in the wet, after about 30 mins my old waterproofs ain't waterproof no more, i'm wet, cold, bored, fed up

If i could choose not to use the bike in anything but glorious sunshine then i would

Had a great day out on the Gixxer last tuesday when it was hot / sunny / dry and not windy, few days later it pissed down  in the sun it was 100 % fun factor, the rain i would give it 10% fun of that same ride

Yeah that's another thing, I think the chances of an off are so much higher in the wet. I always have seen it as high risk and very low reward, in terms of fun.

Keeping dry, good tyres, good bike set up and smooth confident riding = Fun in the wet

Wet through, dodgy tyres, poorly set up bike and aggressive throttle control = Ouch!

what do i do :(

Well you know how I been trying to get that Friday 24th May off for like 7 weeks and there was two people off, Wayne and Andy and Alan ( Alan being my manager) said I couldn't have it as we have two people off (even though sometimes we have had four people booked off on holiday)

Kicked up a fuss in work then he said I could have it and that he will sort it

Then this week I went to see him to get it confirmed and in paper in my hand and there was three people off, Wayne, Andy and Graham!

i said wow, there was two people off when i asked you now you have three people off? he said he must have missed that graham was off..... (yeh right)

And he said I couldn't have it because of this.

Pleaded with him to let me have it as he said I could and it meant I would miss the bike meet otherwise and he said sorry no.

another work person Tom lang told me tonight (friday night) he’s going to try and get next week off I said I don't think you will be able to I've been trying to get the Friday off for ages mate

Got a text off Tom Lang saying Alan’s gave him the whole week off including the Friday!!

WHAT THE wombles!!!!

I'm so wombles pissed off now, what the wombles do i do!

Should i get his bosses number on monday and go over his head?

i'm so wombles pissed off at the situation now sick of him constantly wombles lying to me!
