WD40 naaaah, go for good old diesel, i am sure I have some stashed away, you can have, that I syphoned out of my tank!!!

It's very easy to be dazzled by the colour of the bike and pick up the wrong nozzle.
Of coarse that could never happen with a dull old black 'un!!!
The biggest problem was convincing myself I had actually filled it with diesel

Serious cleaning. Got the bins but no Storm (today)

Attacked the rear end of Custurd To swap the shock linkage...

Put up a bit of a fight but came off in the end think it was last done about a year ago...

This one will do the winter & then get swapped in the Spring...

But be careful with those rimstripes mate, Mac is known to react aggressively towards reflective objects in trafic

Best looking blade yet by a mile, It's just a shame the standard version has the same paint job, kind of makes it harder to see the specialness of the SP. I'd love to own one but would never really ride it, My Xplane engine and it's bottom end and midrange are great for the road, the buzz of the new blade is far up the revs and it'll be proper fast, dare I say too fast for the road if rev it to the fun zone. Although I will say I've not ridden one, just going by my past 1000cc il4's and reading the reports.

Still one for my dream garage though

Totally agree on the livery. A real shame. The 2017 - 19 SPs stood well apart from their siblings, whereas this new one seems to have cut costs in many areas. We also lose the forged wheels enjoyed on the equally-priced previous SP2, AND my biggest bugbear is HAVING to pay for a rear cowl. Not seeking to discriminate against my fellow enthusiasts here, but my view is that if one wants to carry a pillion on a 'sports' bike marketed as a 'track weapon' then they should pay for the hangars and seat, and not US paying to delete the friggin' things!!

Again you're on point. Dangerously fast. It's easy to say speed is up to our right wrist, but all of us seek to explore the potential of our machines and these things are dynamite - as evidenced in BSB. As I've commented before, they do love their revs and I find the necessity of riding around in 2 gears lower than I would on other Blades. Not a problem, of course, just a difference.

Will be very interesting to see if these cop a massive price assassination as did the 2017 - 19 SP2s.

As promised I attacked Rusty the Storm with hammers, chisles, drills, flames & lots of plus gas...

It turned over by hand easy enough, might stick a set of manuals on it & see if it starts, but having put a battery on it, it lit up ok & shows 37500mls ... is it worth the effort to save ?

All the body work is off despite feking pro bolt bl**dy fixings on the fairing & mudguard... 3 came out easy...Thanks plus gas. 1 was drilled. 3 on the mud guard also saw the vengence of the drill...

Round two on the sump bolt..victory is mine also killed the oil filtter with a screw driver, even that was so rusty the removal tool just rounded it off...

Oil came out with no major bits of metal fillings in but was a bit milky, prob just condensation...

Took the rusty as fek rack off & the fitting kit came out easy...

Thats enough for today...

37000 miles is low enough to merit saving that is where you will get your money back
