Got another FJ 1200 it had a few bits on it like luggage and engine bars and better fairing infills I wanted for mine.
I plan to rob it of said parts and move it on.

I'm glad to see there is a plan in your madness Duffy
Sometimes it's the only way to get the parts you're after
Chris.

Cheers guys it was at a fair price so I will save about £300 in the extra parts I have pilfered and hopefully get a few more quid than I paid for it once it’s tarted up a bit. It sailed through its mot so just a few cosmetic tweaks and it’s on its way

Dropped some GPFAX pads into the Tuono's Brembos ready for NI and Scotland as the old standard ones didn't have much left; they'll do as spares, though.
Pulled and regreased the shock linkage bolts, I heard a little noise last time I was out, it's probably those. I last did them when I first bought it, so it's about time I got them greased up again.
And ordered a tyre pressure and temperature monitoring device online- cheap enough and has a voltage display, so I can forgive the extra weight as a trade-off for early warning if anything isn't right.
I'll stick up a photo when it arrives and it's installed.
This old junior care hoist makes it really simple to lift any bike up to do the linkages, I recommend keeping an eye out for an old one.

Passed, but It now tells me the ambient air temp sensor has failed, and it was giving me warnings of ice
I even put the Center stand back on so the MOT boys wouldn’t have to wrestle with it to get the wheels up.

The forks have been Rodgered which are supposed to be showing 5mm above (seems more like 7mm). After having the oil and seals replaced my mechanic put them back as they were. It turns in very rapidly, I almost tucked the front going for sound check

. It took some getting used to but after a lap I like it a lot. The front gets light on acceleration and a little shake but that makes me feel like a pro!
I was cursing Brexit when looking for the best price. On ebay, direct from Italy, they were very reasonable. Bought it from a UK shop in the end to avoid all the taxes.
