I pulled my finger out and spent a couple of days getting the blue nearly ready for someone else to turn it into a nice bike. Plumbing sorted, electrics routed correctly, rear end all torqued up, engine covers sealed and gasketed, and it's wearing it clothes.

It all would have been quicker if I'd not had to spend half the time hunting for odd bolts and missing bits. Unfortunately Mac and Frank will end up having to do the same when I place my next order. On the plus side, I found a set of Harris rearsets I'd forgotten about and a good set of stock calipers.

Another day and it'll be ready to fire up.

Had Pirelli Rosso 4's put on a few weeks ago, they don't fill me with confidence the way that Supercorsa's do, so they've come off to go to Jonesy for his beemer, and new Supercorsa 3's have gone on.

But, upon checking, the rear was 200/60/17 instead of the 200/55/17 it needs. The 60 profile goes on bikes like Panigale's.
FWR in Southwark, so not exactly round the corner.
But they offered to get one in and drop it in to my home tomorrow, very impressive. I left the rear rim with them, hopefully it's coming home tomorrow...

Blonkeyis the pile of poo I bought in 2017 with the underseal painted fairings... Bit of a donkey but sort of black, I'd already had the Wonkey Donkey hence Blonkey...

Now theres Nue Red, Red 633, Smerkin Joe, Dresden, CJ Storm, Blonkey & Big Bird in the cave... Custurd is curently sitting outside unloved... That'll be 8 then...

Whipped the forks back off to re do the air gap as I set it far too low...130mm bob on now.

More cosmetics...Painted the rads & fitted some F2 bars.

So as you know over the past few weeks I have been working on Blonkey. Mainly due to killing Custurd...

Whilst Custurd technicaly was a fairly easy fix a few bits would have needed £'s spent & with it having ticked over 80k this year I feel I've had my moneys worth... So early retirment on medical grounds.

So back in 2017 I picked up this mongral...

Fairly sound with not huge milage just some dubious items fitted & the worst thing it had been sprayed with underseal...Apparently done whilst the P, PO had decided the multi coloured dipping the previous owner ( P, P, PO ) had, had done.

So apart from taking a few bits off it to sell, the exhaust, the damper, the screen. Refreshing the callipers, finding a repacement screen. The thing has sat in the back of the cave only moving to get to the spares boxes...


So April 1st this year I crashed Custurd, spent the folowing few weeks doing fek all whilst me Ribs & Foot healed...

Finaly pulled me finger out a few weeks ago, doing bits & bobs in between shite weather & only being ablbe to do a few hours on me foot...

Yes last week I took it for an MOT which it failed as reported because numptiy bol laxs didnt tighten the new headstock bearings up...

It's booked in for a second go tomorrow morning...

I did fek all over the weekend, rain & lazyitus being the main reason...

Did the headstock on Monday. Re did the air gap in the forks on Tuesday... Today I did the (possibly) final bits... Fairing on & polished, stuck some decals on...

So basically... Replaced the loom, sprayed up the subframe, replaced the swingarm & linkage, swapped the wheels, discs & C&S from Custurd, lower milage std shock I had in stock... New fork seals, F2 bars, sprayed the rads & new coolant. Plus a host of minor details as you do...

It's not perfect by a long way, the fairing has at some stage been painted but no cracks. The rest of the body work has plenty of dings & marks but is seviceable... The body work came off the £300 boat anchor bike I bought earlier in the year...Rusty the Storm Still have the lump & a few bits left of that but more than got me money back & free fairings...

A bit hesitant and fluffy but at least I can start dialling it in now
