Apart from the spin out early in the week...
Last week I have mainly been doing fek all bike related... Far too cold & windy/rainy for my old brittle bones...
Did sell a couple of abbastands & some flanges tho so all good...

Well closer to 120,000 miles but yeah they are the OE units that came with the bike 24yrs ago

That and never seeing a gritted road. I think that is the biggest difference.

Yep winter can be a killer, mine is only 20 years old but has done a 14 years of winter only in the last few years rested over the rot months.
Anyway new bearings and pivot bolts ordered will be fitted

once i can get the rest of the bearing outer case
out.

That has to make a difference, and the damper climate doesn't help I'm sure.
Even so amazing mileage achieved with the originals

Good maintenance must be contributed to such high mileage without a doubt,

fitted some carbon heel guards and a sprocket cover i made up just because i had it sitting about gathering dust

proper nice aircraft grade

A bit of cleaning and polishing on another impulse buy

Has now been put away for winter and will be something to tinker with next year. Quick tidy and sort out in the shed ready before I pull the covers off these two. Plan is to build one very nice storm out of the two.
