I picked up the frame and swingarm from the powder coaters yesterday and really annoyingly they didn't mask off the bearing surfaces before blasting.

They won't unless you tell them to.
I must old school, as in my view
they damn well ought too
Surely it's not rocket science to know bearing surfaces are a no-no when it comes to blasting and powder coating,
Chris.

Exactly. The place I took it to outsourced the blasting, must have. They also ceramic coated my engine and other parts after vapour blasting. I know everything was plugged before blasting because I saw them do it.
Anyway, the threads I've checked aren't too loose and the bearing races don't just drop in so I think all will be well. I'll clean up the rough surface a little and I've got some bearing adhesive if I think they need it. It grates though, literally.

Did brakes & clutch fluid change on the VTR, also scraped off the gasket and sealant from the engine in readiness for the new clutch cover. Hoping to have the bike back on the road and MOT'd soon

And he has the head of a d !ck.
You can't make money selling replacement tyres if you make the original ones out of concrete.

Rode the Murvinator... Up to Jonesville on Saturday, spent the day helping him work on a customers Storm.
Jammie popped in for a brew & a chinwag... on a Trumph Scrabbler...
Evening of beers & takeaway & a movie... & a farting hound...
Stayed over & rode back this morning...

If you can still use the frame I guess that is something,
Chris.

Greetings from across The Pond
Took the old girl out of hibernation, drained the storage gas, replaced with fresh stuff and fired her up. All good, fires up right away

I cleaned the front caliper pistons, replaced brake fluid at both ends. All ready for yet another awesome summer on the old Carbon Express, lol

Fixed the front brake switch and bypassed the side stand switch as it wouldn’t start with it down unless the clutch was pulled in .
Did some paint prep on the nose fairing .

New clutch cover on, used Hylomar universal blue where the VTR manual said apply sealant. Not sure how long I'm supposed to wait before I refill oil and coolant so will wait 24 hrs
In the mean time I'll reconnect the hoses to the water pump, change the coolant plug and oil sump plug washers.
