This week I have mainly been sorting & stripping various bit of various bikes out.

Sorting out the the pile of bits that came with the latest munter I picked up. The second bike in bits turns out the frame is fubar as its missing one of the lugs on the head stock that holds the clock fairing on... So thats scrap. The engine has both heads off & the front pot & piston are rusty so thats scrap as well... Salvaged what I could.

Spent most of today taking the bling bits off of RXNine as that is possible going to a new home & part of the deal was they dont want the bling...

As the std under tray had been butcherd to fit the twin light under tray so I took it all off, picked up the std undertray that came with the box of bits...thats been butcherd as well so is usless...

Had no space in the garage so decided to store two of my LC projects outside in an Armadillo cover.

Not exactly storm related but I'm gonna bother you guys anyway.
Had a close encounter with a sleepy car driver on my GV75A bandit 1200 - yes I occasionally ride something else than my Storm, sorry
Only a ballet esque reaction kept my leg free from his bumper and I kept the bandit upright.
I was pushed a couple of meters sideways but luckily there was no ongoing traffic. Only minor damage to the bike: broken peg hanger, brake pedal bend and exhaust dented and scrathed.

You probably needed a change of underwear after that

A shame your bike got damaged, and I'm sure you or are gutted, but bikes can be repaired.

Nothing wrong with a 1200 Bandit, I was was intending to get one myself, that was until I test rode a Firestorm

MCCT instalation for CJ Walker...

Nice Storm in the correct colour, Rogerd motor, 120 at the wheel on the Dyno apparently... Fireblade front end, nice wheels, lightend flywheel & a full Akro system...

After finding the missing roller on my chain, it’s time to put on a new one on

Lucky I did, as the pin under the missing roller had about 2mm wear, and it’s only a 4mm pin!!

I love that you can do the link riveting off the bike and then put the endless chain on the bike with just taking off the footbed and pipe.



I bought a chain kit that came with a rivet tool, it worked well on the bench, but would have been very fiddly on the bike.

That's good, not seen a riveter that needs a torque wrench & specifies a max torque. The ones I've used in the past on the enduro KTM's just wind in to a stop to flare the rivet. How much was the chain and riveter as a kit Al?

Al, good to hear about a tool included in with a chain and sprocket kit that actually does the job

I also like the the fact you don't need to remove the swingarm to fit the chain when riveting it together on the bench as you have done
