Got hold of a cheap swingarm C/W triangle & a chainguard ( which is the only reason I went for it) Ebay up for £20 + £6 postage, put a max bid of £24... No one else bid ! so happy days it came yesterday.
So out in the cave once the rain had stopped. The triangle was moving but the bolt was a bit stubborn. Squirt of plus gas...Big 'ammer & a drift & add that to the pile of linkage bits to be cleaned up & refurbed.
Bit of a tidy up put some stuff away.
Swingarm into stock.
CG required for one of the fleet.

Eagle eyes there Chris
The brakes return fine without it, but I like a bit of extra resistance on the pedal so I can feel what’s going on, so I add the rubber band. MOT man never questioned it though

Ah that explains it
I have noticed the rubber band in photos before, I just thought the return spring must have broken so it was a temporary fix,
Chris.

I pulled the carbs off, again, to trace the source of a leak on the rear carb. I think this is the first time on this bike an issue has been straight forward to resolve - I'd pinched the float bowl seal when refitted. New part on order.

Service, coolant flush and MOT first ride on the TL for over 2 years great bike in a straight line but I’ve never got on with it on the twisty roads it’s definitely going up for sale, The GSXS750 went a few weeks ago I’m thinking about a GSXR750 K7 or another storm, after being out today haven’t really missed that bent over position at all. The ride today was slow and boring and uncomfortable to the ponderosa Llangollen 20 MPH roads and some full of gravel and pot holes. I’ve just got a track bike so will hopefully be doing a few track days this year and possibly a trip to Spain and the wales meet. Hope everyone is good not been on here for ages.
