You need a bit more yellow, I'd suggest all over the fairings.
Goes better with the black forks.

Re the wording on the forks- reminds me of Hondas of old that has "kickstarter" imprinted on the, er, kickstarter, presumably to stop you trying to steer or brake with it.

Put my 1976 KH125 in for its MOT.............yes a pass
but was bloody cold compared to yesterday so didnt have a big ride, but enough to clear the crankcases and stop the blue cloud that followed me for the 1st 3 miles.

Hey Benny, looking at all the mods you are doing on the ped for your charity run, I recon we need a drag race now
30 year old 2 smoke 125 vs your big bore, hot cam, race exhaust, turbo ped...........just name the place.....obviously it will have to be outside a McDonalds or in a retal park after closing if we are to fully re-inact the teenage mood

But on a serious note I was almost thinking that I could use the old 125 to join your ped marathon, just to see if it could survive the 1000 miles

Finally fitted my manual CCTs today, and a quick action throttle. Roads all wet today here, so hopefully get to take it out tomorrow.

I took the four fairing bolts out, disconnected one LED mirror, then decided I wasn't really wanting to pull a clutch apart so gave up and had a bonfire instead.
No, not the Storm, gardening!

Maybe tomorrow, but if i still don't feel like it I'll put it back together again until next weekend.
Isn't slipping much anyway.

mmmmh.... what have i done to my bike today....

out on the kwak - fell off it lol.

was stopped at a roundabout, pulled up with the lads, sorting directions, hopped off the bike and knocked it in gear while i was half off!
bang. down it went , bent the front brake lever and knocked an indicator off, cracked the fairing where it had been previously repaired.

got back on, got another 30 miles, nailing it through an ace set of twisties, up & down the box like you do, really enjoying the road......
then WTF, false neutral coming out of a bend!

fkin gearshift had snapped where the rose joint goes through about 5 mile from betwsy coed - fkt. basterd.
tried fixing it at the roadside by pinching some wire off a fence and twisting it to clamp the 2 halves together, no joy.
looks like one side of it had been cracked for a while.
got it in 2nd gear by hand and limped 20 miles to the nearest bikeshop, tried a few different gear levers but none would work so the lad drilled a new hole in the lever, smashed the ball joint out of the linkage and popped a bolt through with a nyloc nut.

got me home not fun riding in 2nd gear for 20 miles lol

annoying thing is, ive got a spare one in the garage.
even more anoying, the bike is coming off the road this week, this was it's last outing & first time it's let me down!

that will be the bike throwing a paddy it dont want to come of the road as the weather is getting better .
my bikes throw paddys just before i sell them

fitted new tyres to new rims, wheels and all bodywork isolated and primed ready for topcoat , bike carcas in kitchen ready for strip and service ready for panels etc ready to be fitted back on :-) :-)

removed the wheel tape ive orderd 5mm this time 10mm tooooo big and looks fugly

had a twiddle with me mt350
noticed some essential bolts are missing
ones that hold the engine to the frame lol


ignoring that i decided to try and fix the clutch issue
on inspection of the two lil access holes on the engine things was definatley a little wrong
there was a tension nut missing and the bolt was broken
both in the right side hole


meant draining her from the frame oil sump
and engine sump
then taking of the belt cover the belt tthe belt tensioners some kinda gear cover
then the clutch cover

i do like looking at the moving bits in an angine

it was a pain in the butt to lock the crank in position
all to get this bolt out

anyway with advice from neighbour he had a bolt suitable for me to cut the head of and make
a slot for a screw driver so after sticking it all back together
she kind of works but is dragging the clutch atm i mean in gear with the clutch pulled right in
she is still turning the back wheel not sure how to fix this issue atm

would like to add if it wasnt for the workshop day i wouldntof had the courage to go this deep into the bike

use an oil filter strap wrench to hold the clutch or a gear.

either one like this or one with a fabric strap.... halfords & machine mart do them, or any decent car accessory place.

regarding the clutch.... yours works a bit different to the cvt in my scoots (got 3 of them atm lol) as in yours works more like a conventional clutch.
you could try a thinner oil? maybe a 5w30 synthetic?
the clutch will drag if it's dry.

when mine are on the stand, the wheel will turn, but when im sat on it it stops unless i rev the bike.
with the cover off, can you pull the clutch lever in and see how far the plates move (does it have a lever?)

in mine, the variator bit has a plate at the back that moves out under centrifugal force and pushes the pulley out, varying the drive.
yours could have a similar system that operates the clutch, like a plate that moves to the left and pushes the plates together.
it's possible this plate could be sticking or the rollers inside have worn away?

i think you will have to take the clutch off mate - post some pics of it so i can see what's behind it
