Took the Rothburg for a spin up to the Jones Ranch Saturday.

Helped a bit in a CCT swap for a guy from Ipswich Via FB.

Nice clean RED Storm...utter grub fest under the bodywork !

The guy is a painter by trade & is willing to do stuff, Jones has a belly pan lined up & I spoke to him about the manky tank on the Rothberg...

Technically not on a bike, went in the cage to pick some bits up.

Yes I know it's yella. sorry to the RED crew It's for the BIG BIRD which is yella but the bodywork is a bit pants, with a big crack & a few broken lugs.

So these came up on the Bay of Evil & after a few msgs were exchanged a phone number secretively exchanged a meeting was arranged.

Turns out it was Blob748 of Cyclops fame from Grainstorm2012... Red Storm with the single underseat exhaust & the HID headlight.

That has been long sold but he still has a Storm along with multiple Blades, 2 ZXR750R 's a SARD 750 some Bandits & a MC21...

N+1++ a man after my own hart ...

Inbetween showers Dragged them all out & did some tinkering...

Rothburg had an odd bolt holding the calliper on...

All were loose as I found out on the ride up to the Jones Ranch on Sat when one fell out 8O

So today I raided the bolt stash & got a correct replacement. Replaced, Loctite & torqued up all of them...

Sorted a few fixings out for Big Bird new fairing set & new rubbers & top hats for the front tank mounts, some new rubber trim at the back.

Waiting for some new well nuts for the screen & tail mount...

Put them all away...

Gave my newly acquired Storm a wash and polish. Pretty pleased with its condition, needs a few bits sorting, but nothing major.

Priority alert... Sort the CCT's out if they are standard OEM units look at changing them.

Looks like you still have the original brake lines on... Go braided. & clean & service the callipers SBS Pads for the win.

If its never been done the rear shock linkage needs a good going over make sure all the bearings are in good order & plenty of grease.

It might still have the original oil in the forks that will be worth changing... & whilst the forks are off re grease the headstock bearings or even better fit a set of needles...

Finally & most importantly paint it RED
