It was bad enough trying to do my brother CBR900RRRRR 'blade, and usually involved me having to switch from pushing to throwing myself across the pillion seat to just get traction. I don't even want to think what would be required with the 'storm!

Bumping a storm is easy so long as you can make enough speed and use 2nd gear and your not running up hill it should go no problems might take two or three goes sometimes, the blade is a lot easier to bump had to do both a number of times when been stood and the batt was deaf before work

Fitted the full modified air box and took it for a ride .
Wow it smother through out with more stomp .
Throttle response is better .And it pulls clean to the red line .
Cruise is very smooth .
However I think I need to up the mains one size but I'll wait till the dyno day to do that .

It's a piece of piss, I have bumped mine in the past when I had a flat battery.

You must have very sticky tires or a road like 20 grit sand paper!

Whenever I tried it when the bike cut whilst moving (i.e. when cold) releasing the clutch just resulted in the back wheel locking up solid!

2nd gear if the wheel locks keep pushing and it catches. just be ready to dip the clutch so it don't go shooting off. I was on a slight downhill slope though.

when I'm ready to knock it into gear i jump up and the on the down wards compression that's when i knock it into gear when there is force compressing down onto the back wheel

when i first got my vtr it had a fooked battery i had to charge it every day .

on my way back from a good 300 mile ride in the sun i filled up at the local asda 2 miles from home.
went to start it not a bean .
pushed out of the petrol station a tried to bump it .
on the 4th attempt in 3rd it stated much to my relief

not as funny as my mate trying to bump start his rev n rip scooter

kicked the tyres .
then gave it a clean and polish
topped the oil up again

Took off front fairing to get to the rad covers (mesh bits) as one was a bit rusty and wanted to wire brush it....

Then decided to paint it black.

Then I decided to paint the frame that the clocks and a bit of wire harness is mounted to as there were bits of rust on that too!




Iv not put it back together yet as I want the paint to dry proper on the clock frame.

Not sure what the rad covers will look like yet but will post a pic of when it's all done!

All back together, thought I'd get up early!



The rad covers don't make a drastic difference now they are painted as the rads are still unpainted. But it does look cleaner.



However the bracket which holds the clocks look much tidier! You cant really tell in the pic but it'll look great to me when I'm riding it!

Also this has been a good opportunity while the fairing has been off to tighten up all me rad hoses. They weren't leaking or lose, but the deffo needed nipping up ;-)
