Made the 6 x 5mm holes in each can end 7mm. I'll take it slowly - easier to make them bigger than smaller :D

Sounds pretty much the same moving, but a nice burble starting to appear at idle.

Nice idea this, wouldn't be hard to make a blanking plate for MOT time - though based on what I've taken in the past I think the gent who does my MOT's is a bit deaf

Tell me about it, spent a couple of hours on it. Had to cut down my t25 torx key so it'd fit between the tps and frame. Then found the slots too short, took out the metal clips and managed to get it at 502.
Security torx they are called. check out ebay. It took me about 30 mins and got it at 501. I find taking the TPS off and bending the metal tab easier.

For anyone considering this, when you remove the TPS you will see the two metal tabs that the rear of TPS slots in between. As you view the carb side-on (TPS side obviously) it's the bottom tab that needs bending downwards slightly with long nose pliers. This allow you to turn the TPS anti clockwise more and get as close to 500 as poss.

Now that's the sort of low down thread tampering I expect from you Kev, which could have worked except that it's too close to the original post.

No Carl, Subframe is still avaliable!

The Security chains I had, for some reason Marty is convinced someone will want to steal his blue thing, either that or he wants to chain it to his leg so when he falls off it it don't go to far, bit like the tether on a surf board type thing.

Works van not on Storm to answer your question BTW

I washed it!

I wash it at least once a year whether it needs it or not :D Normally before the MOT - I figure if it looks clean it will probably pass.

I have to say it's stood up to winter use very well - looks like crap but it's all superficial, no real corrosion apart from the down pipes. Bits of corrosion on the wheels. I think the Scottoiler really works there, everything is always covered in oil which protects the bike. Well, that's my excuse for not washing it off very often

took mine for a liitle ride to see a mate, its so frustrating because of the olympic games lanes, single file traffic for about 2 miles, i just played the avoid the man hole cover swerve left swerve right game
in the end i decided to try and filter without crossing the solid white dividing line.
what a great sensation when i cleared the traffic and the lanes opened up......WOOSH!!!!!!!!! everything started flying backwards at great speed, it put a :D on my face
