Did you see Lloydie wants the tank mate!

(:-})
He's after a 19l tank bud so I'll stick it on ebay and in the sale section ;-)

I had the back wheel off today, took out the outer seals (black ones) and wiped off all the excess grease, there were loads ha, what was I thinking!

Itl do for now until I get some proper grease in. I cleaned up the disc and pads so hopefully I'll not have it flinging out now!

Changed oil and filter when I got back from work, while the oil was still hot.

Cleaned K&N.

Fitted new plugs and did the stick coil mod at the same time.

Took it for a spin to make sure it was ok

today i almost set fire to my bike. :Ball Kick:

the other night on the way back from blackpool lights it misfired on me. hard.
so hard i thought id dropped a valve 8O

then again a few times, just a little intermittent splutter.

today im riding along bimblingly minding my own business as you do, bike was purring like a kitten - until i came to some nice twisties and gave it some welly.
felt like a bag of crouton.
popping and fartin, jumpin and bangin FI light coming on and off, then coasted to a stop and wouldnt go.

popped the seat off and found the - terminal had come loose on the battery, tightened it up, all ok again so off we go.
1 hr later, running great until more fast twisties.... same again only worse. came to a stop again and wouldnt restart.
checked the obvious to no avail so rang rac to come get me, only to be told it was a minimum 2 hrs wait.
so i decided to pop the power commander off and found a broken wire, which looked to be part of the datatool3 alarm / immobiliser.
twisted the wire back together and it fires up again.
put the seat back on and it woudnt go again! :Ball Kick:
im running it with the firestorm battery atm and as its the bigger size one it's pulled the wires really tight and it seemed i'd pulled the wire apart again when i put the battery back in place.

so off we go again.... much fun was had/
until on the way hme i got halfway down the cat n fidle and gave it some welly and it went again.

unfortunately i was on my own this time and had no tools on me but managed to limp it back home, thinking maybe the wire has come undone again.
it hasnt
so i havent got a clue whats causing it yet.
the broken wire is the ground wire for the power commander not the alarm so im hoping it just needs a map reloading or summat.
i'll have a proper look at it tomorrow when i cba!

anyway - awesome day out chaps - enjoyed that thx. needed some fun after the week ive had :silent:

oh yes .
I did about 6 laps of a roundabout near the start of the duel carriageway while one of the guys on a red one was watching .
Also did it on some of the more open twistys .

Finally got her started after what has been a few months of mods.
She now has:
Braced swingarm
Gilles variobars
Pro sport grips
Titax levers
Sorted forks
Ohlins rear
Spacer to rear
1 tooth down on the front
Hel brake lines
Hel clutch lines
Hi level blueflame cans
Custom seat ( with gel packs)
Renthal sprockets
Manual ccts
EBC wavy rear disc
Pyramid undertray
Oberon pegs

Just need to fit
poly26 fairings,
zero gravity screen,
twin projector headlights
Angel eye sidelights
new mirrors ( with indicators)
New paint

Get an mot, sort custom insurance and might get her on the road for 2013!
And to think I only took her off the road to change the rear wheel bearing. :D

Hi bsm
Yeah it's taken a while. The swinger was harder than I thought to get right and then one thing just sort of led to another. It's like when you go to Tesco for a loaf of bread and you end up spending £50 on stuff you had forgotten you need.
should be back on the road before the end of the month even if she just has a sLatin black rattle can replay.

Got a new front tyre Bridgestone BT 023, to match the rear, and find it needs new head bearings, Poo! wondered why it didnt tip into corners too happily, I had put it down the worn front tyre. :whatever
