TBH Ben, you summed up quite well exactly what I was shooting for. I am not in need of undue attention (especially from the local constabulary) but do want it to look tasteful. Besides, here in Har(d)ley-land, if it's not weighed down with chrome and can't be heard from the next county (f***in' Hoggers and their straight-pipes!!!) no one notices anyhow......

i thought canadians had a bit more taste than their brothers from another mother over the border :D
must get myself a harley one day, strip all the chrome off it and turn it into a track bike complete with chinese fairings, rear sets & clipons :D

saw a few on the strip last year and they didnt half shift.... dunno what they'd done to them big cube farm engines but you can make them go some with a bit of work.... nothing like the laid back plodders they all ride. :biker:

Nice job Micky  8) and being carbon-fibre (lightweight) doesn't detract very much from all your efforts in reducing the weight of the bike.

Chris.

It troubles me greatly to have to report that the answer is no. "Poser-ism" is alive and well (far too much so for my taste.... God, those bastiges annoy me......) in the Great White North. On the positive side, it would seem that "flavour of the day" syndrome which leads many identity-crisis-afflicted Baby Boomers to Hardley-land is beginning to subside (as they move on to other similarly shallow pursuits)......

Just picked up a couple carbon reservoir brackets. I had been eyeing these before but they were ridiculously expensive ($150 USD). Now they are heavily discounted so the time was right for another carbon fix...

I like the look of those but $150!!! :eek2 The price would need to fall way down. Who makes them?

Not sure who makes them but they are sold by Motowheels (California-based seller of bling for sportbikes, namely Ducs). These are Ducati 848-1098-1198 models (with Brembo MCs) but will fit mine as I am using those very same masters (will seimply replace the OEM brackets beign used now). Incidentally, I picked them up for $85.... still expensive but, hey, it's a bling investment, lol

Good luck to you fella. Stick a piccie on here when you fit them. I think I could gain a lot more by laying off the beer before I worry too much about the odd gram here and there!!

These are more for bling than weight savings (latter will be very, very minor)...... My carbon count is already fairly high: airscoops, Mori lower, front fender, engine case covers, exhaust can slings, speedo cover....
