i might have seen the picture on the superhawk forum?
i believe a few of the forum members have done this mod.......
Marty, glad to hear you've sorted the paint out
Here's a link to that airbox/filter mod:-

If you have a look inside the airbox there are various bits of plastic moulding that protrude in and disturb the airflow.
I removed all of that gubbins, resited the catch tank externally and got bigger volume for free.
I put a thread up in workshop somewhere- I'll have a look.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

after much hassle i've bought the paint Candy Tahitian Blue, i ended up taking the original decals back to the honda main dealer, a total waste of time, i ended up getting my decals from bumble-signs.
i bought a new and cheap dark double bubble screen £25 from ebay and i'm very pleased with it, i've also got hold of a talon 15t front sprocket and a 42t supersprox rear sprocket, that should make things a bit lively, i should be getting the braced powdered coated swingarm from tony next week, together with a polished sprocket carrier.
muppett should be recieveing the velocity stacks from the usa soon, so they will be going on the bike together with the dynojet kit.
i'm hoping the respray will begin soon, but my painter is very busy at the moment and i'm in no great rush.
i looking to get the bike to a dyno specalist once its been rebuilt/resprayed, i decided a little while ago that i want my bike to have more midrange and less top end, i'm not to interested in 140+mph.
so i will be doing the airbox mod once i've bought a dremmel.
here's the list of items i hope will make the bike more grunty.
--------------------------------------
lightened flywheel
full big bore titanium exhaust
airbox mod

longer velocity stacks
-1 front and +1 rear sprockets
dynojet kit
k&n filter
superchips module
-------------------------------------
i'll be throwing the lot at the bike and see whhat happens.

Don't bother with a Dremmel Marty, get yourself down to a Machine Mart they do a Clarks one, CRT40 Rotary tool £33 about 1/2 the price of a Dremmel, & the kit include a few bit's, a stand & a flexi shaft. A separate box of bit's/tools is about 13 quid. Aldi's/Lidil's have the bits'/tools every now & then for around a tenner. All much cheaper & work fine. More cash left over for :Beer Popcorn: & more

today i took a trip down to tony mon in north kent, as usual mr mon was very helpful, i picked up a freshly powder coated swingarm with a fireblade brace wielded to it.

i also picked up a polished sprocket carrier which will be carrying this lovely supersprox 42t sprocket

i also took my seat along to try and find out why it doesn't fit my bike very well, and it fits tonys bike fine, so i'll have to take a hammer to my bike and make it fit.....
i'll start badgering the painter this week to get him spraying my bike and fast blue colour,,,,,,,,,,

Re the dremel, there's a kit in Maplins at the moment with loads of bits and wheels, just under £20.
