How does the bike run with 4 exhaust cams? I've been thinking about this but have yet to find anyone that has done it

interesting.did you shim the valves? any modyfing or does it just go right in no problems? i think its the cheapest way to get a better cam set up. other wise its like $700 usd for a re grind or even more than that for a set of more/yosh cams... if i can even find them.... i can get 2 exhaust cams pretty cheap so if nothing else, its a good temporary set up until i can do something better down the line.

also do you run HC pistons or the stockers?

Standard pistons and yes I had to do the valve clearances but other than that they just bolt on :-)
Just remember you need to set the clearances as inlets

This s what we have as standard

Overlap of 35.00 degrees
Intake Duration of 245.00 degrees.
The Exhaust Duration is 245.00 degrees.
The Inlet Cam has an Installed Centerline of 102.50 degrees ATDC.
The exhaust cam has an Installed Centerline of 107.50 degrees BTDC.
(this is just the results from a cam calculator using the the opening and closing times of both valves)

An exhaust cam has less than 1 degree more lift. How about playing with the lobe separation angle. For your purposes you need race cams to gain up top.
