I got 120 miles yesterday.. that was boring as wombles though and my last bar was flashing about 10 miles from my destination

All motorway and about 20 miles was at about 3k rpm just filtering for the best part of an hour

Round town I'd expect low mpg figures, as you say it is a litre bike after all, anyway now that its had a mini service and I've stuck more miles on her in the last two week ends than the PO did in the last 6yrs she's starting to loosen up and smoothen out considerably, on a run the mpg ain't too bad in reality, 16litre tank and I filled up yesterday before doing a lovely run to Finchingfield and back on the fast A & B roads, 117 miles before the low fuel warning showed up. To me that's acceptable for what the bike is, sure a bigger fuel tank would be great but hey, its a bike made for fun not commuting on. Was really surprised at how quick this bike throws you out of the bends, it can also catch you by surprise going in to a bend if your not careful, you don't realise how much speed your carrying going in due to how unstressed the engine is. All in all I think these are a cracking bike that everyone should try at some point in their biking career.

As I was " BIMBLING "along somewhere on the Wirral today I worked out that
approximately my VTR does 10 miles per £1.00 of fuel.. as what I did today
plus the cost of a fill to top up.. give or take a few Pence ... its all down
to a twitchy right throttle wrist and the demonic exhaust notes in your
ears M8. har
