Re: tech info ?
Since I got the bike I've noticed the gearbox lashes under 3000 rpm in 1st 2nd and 3rd ...is that normal for a twin or am I up for spending a fortune :/

Re: tech info ?
can you explain the term lashes?
the storms gearbox can be very clunky between 1st and 2nd, but after that it's fairly smooth, the more you ride it the more you get used to it and you'll learn to make smooth gear changes, just a thought, is your chain properly adjusted, this will effect gear changes of course.
and not wanting to be a keyboard Nazi, if you post this question in the workshop section, you'll get a better response.....

HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
Re: tech info ?
I too was wondering what exactly you mean by lashes, if you mean the transmission is slack it could be worn cush driver rubbers. They fit behind the rear sprocket carrier, you can check if they are badly worn by seeing if the sprocket with it's carrier will move back and forth without the rear wheel moving.
I agree with A/P, better of putting your question in The Workshop section,
Chris.

Re: tech info ?
ehhh........~sighs~ bike broken again ,starter transfer cog, and the starter motor making a weird noise ive never heard before ....its just gonna have to sit in the shed till I get time off work to look at it

Re: tech info ?
Did the sprag clutch rollers get checked when you was last in there? Is the bike turning over as in cranking or does it sound more like the starter spinning without cranking the engine over. Starter bushes possibly
It would be a good idea to strip, check and clean the starter as these are a common failure area, especially the bolt at the front where the live cable attaches.

Colour is a personal thing really, it's what you like. I like Red, but isn't that what you already have now
