Set of friday at 6pm and it rained all the way to the camp site, then although sat morning was very over cast and all the roads were very wet it didnt rain enough for me to put my waterproofs on, and by 3pm the roads were drying out and i think everybody started to relax & flow
Sunday had the check to be sunny!!
Was a good collection of usual suspect and new names... and beers were drunk, piss was taken, group fry ups for breakfast and a cracking curry saturday night. Good to meet you all and hope flatline isnt aching too much, and the guys with a 300 mile home trip made it ok
took 2 hrs to get the bike clean and get the tent hung out to dry.....but it was worth it
I think the score card reads a bit like this
3 yellow storms
2 BMW
1red
1silver
1 black
1 blue
1SP2
And I can't remember what colour Goodys was!
1transalp
1 cbr 600 with pillion
1 red VW van
2 hens (opening the door to jokes about the number of cocks)
1 small off
1 flat tyre
1 dead battery
1 possible speed ticket
1 puking up at the roadside
1 good Samaritan clutch repair detour to MJONSEYs house
1 Time we managed to loose the last 3 guys despite the normally effective 2nd man drop off
1 wet night
1 dry night
Too many beers to count
Number of miles? Not as many as planned, but every one was cracking

yes big fan, went 60 miles to Carlisle on me moped to see them when I was 16 (for their 2nd tour for inflamable material I think) and seen them every tour since then
not the most famous band of that era but they made some cracking songs and they play them live with a passion

ah, now i understand why there was a bloke I didnt know crouched down & taking photos of us when you were leading us from Borth back to the main road........... that had me confused to say the least..I thought we cant be that noisy that the local residents are comming out to get evidence to put with their complaint letters!
I assume it was one of the local Jones clan you had sent there to capture our exit past your house

that wasn't a fish........it was half a bloody whale
There has been talk of doing a Scotland one. I'll be interested in organsing "Operation Storm III - Highland Thunder" in a few years time but not at the moment. Also it's a long trek for me personally so it would have to be more than just a weekend and as it would be as well as the welsh run and I can't really afford the time for both at the moment.

George,
That describes the Elan Valley mountain road and also the one up over the hill with all the lakes in the Valley............would be ideal for a storm with MX bars and some sort of nudge bars to stop sheep getting under your front wheels...........or BMW GS .............but it didnt stop us giving it a go did it Benny [must have been even harder work on the SP2!]
I also liked the rest of your highs and lows list, but I am not sure if you were saying my wheelies were lower than yours.......
