although there are no reviews for that HiGear tent, there is this review for their 1 man version of teh same style

we bought his tent for short camping holiday and within one week the poles started cracking, we had to buy tape and later new poles, not just one pole faullty, most of them broke just within first two weeks. The elastic holding inside tent stretched and did not hold it properly. We will never buy any Hi Gear tent anymore - on top of it in shop they told us the poles are not covered by warranty...

Okay never mind. I'll do some more in-depth research when I have time then. Just don't want to spend more than £40 ideally, being skint all the time and all  And I need to buy one before I insure the firestorm or I have no chance

6f - 2" :-/ I'm all legs dude, still, knee downs can be achieved with a mere hint of lean :)

You can find a good 2 man tent, with metal poles for your sort of budget. Just avoid the X-over type dome tents with composite poles. IMO they SUCK!

Or, just get a cheapie for now & see how you ya go.

Taller than me then  And I can tell, you're practically upright in your picture

Thinking of this now. Reviews are all good. Any thoughts? I used to go camping loads but know feck all about tents. I just walked the dog and let my dad do the work :D

Looks spot on for the money mate! Should be enough room for you & your gear. Not sure if you'd get your mate in there too, as you mentioned earlier but you can always tell them to get one too!

I'll take his gear and he can sleep under his bike or something then  And he can get his own, we'll have enough space as he rides too.. Not sure if he'll have a top box on his next bike though.. Cause I don't think I will

Anyway thanks, I'll keep that as my first choice and do some brand snooping when I have the time and lack of lecturer over my shoulder

And sorry, I take it back. Further over than me and my chicken strips, they're only like 5inches

I guess I ought to update my Avatar, I was nurturing new tyres... Honest!

Me & my faithful riding pal have just got cheapo intercoms, I followed him round some corners and shouted "further! Further! Further!" Made no difference! He's desperate to get comfortable using ALL of his tyre, but at the end of the day, he keeps up with me on quicker rides.

I haven't forgotten  I can manage some stuff. Maybe a body bag or something if you keep moaning

I'm not that slow. I beat a moped in a drag race to 20mph today. They reached 30 first though, but that's irrelevant. 30mph is too fast, it's dangerous I tell you!!!
