It's not a polish but it's along those lines. :) The trick is to protect the paintwork properly and then you wont have to touch it for a few months apart from maybe a quick wash.

Is there any other local shop that could supply them in say, chrome vinyl?

today was a good day, the £8.50 hiss transponder turned up today, so i had to put the 53 plate bike back together(having already taken off the airbox/tank/cans/clocks  )
all started well, i bolted the tank componants back on, then i swapped the battery from my other bike, at this point it started to go slightly wrong, i ended up putting the battery on the wrong way, which blows the 30amp fuse...(this isn't my first time  )
ok over to the shops for a couple of fuses, but fook me, trying to get the big yellow battery out of the original battery compartment, 5 mins later and a bit of skin and blood and the battery was out and turned around.... :o
i've now used the macv2 method of using a strap from an old ratchet strap, so next time i have to take out the battery all i have to do is pull on the strap..
ok, fuse replaced, clocks and hiss transponder connected, then i drained some petrol from my other bikes tank and put it in the the salvage bike, time to hit the button, but nothing happened, the only light i got on the dash was the hiss light flashing on and off, re-checked all the fuses and battery terminals, still nothing, not even turning over.
then i figured that i need to re-connect some of the other electrical connectors at the front of the bike, hey presto she fired up on the button, i couldn't run it for long because theres no coolant in the big and there was very little petrol in the tank, but it was great news, the engine sounds very strong with no unusual noises.....so i'm well pleased, fingers crossed next week ne and some friends will be dismantling both bikes, ready for powder coating and rebuilding.
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!

Did a bit of surgery to my mori belly pan. Not been 100% sure if I was happy with the way it looked, so with Sebs kindly donated mesh, I made alterations to it.

Going to mesh the rad openings and nose fairing vents. Need more mesh now!!

lloydie, looks good. you may as well do the front shims when the cam cover is that well exposed.

lee, needs mesh now you have opened it up, but it will help stop it filling up with water

Believe it or not, the side in the pic has mesh in., The hole the other side is slightly wider ( belly pan isn't symetrical ) and didnt have a piece wide enough ( by about 20mm ). Dont worry seb, I'll need two bits now, one for the other side of the bp, and one for a rad. How long did it take to come from Poland btw. Cheers.
