got onto the M20 and floored it
my sat nav said I hit 164mph is that possible with the storm?
Kin' ell - 0nly done this once, I was on a Blackbird whilst racing and pisssing off a TT100 with shmirk and his blonde trying it on , seriously fast, Blackbirds are pretty stable and it felt unstable so god knows what it felt like on a storm, Only saw it through to teach the smug T*** a lesson, Grown out of it now though !

I did see once ( on the clock ) 179mph, on a 2005 cbr1000rr. I have to say it was totally stable and planted. 174 on my SP1, same, stable. Fastest I've seen on Storm is about 160. All done on public roads. However, in what country, I'll not divulge. Take that porky !!

and watching the binnages on motogp :o

interesting to find the headrace rusted solid... not been in long either. plenty of grease in there so dunno why it was so bad.
swing arm bearings were bob on, not found any other defects

next step, get the frame etc off for coating and crack on with the engine build

*will be some parts going in the for sale bit shortly as im not using the standard fairings, seat, cowl, tailpiece and will be parting out one engine... or most of it.

not yet mate, ive got a full rebuild on yet, swap over the cams from mine, advancer, clutch etc and rebore and fit the hc pistons.
might as well do the shells and bearings while its down for the sake of a 1er, then its more or less a new motor :)
just cos it wasnt worth doing all that to my motor, even though its a strong one it's got damage to the casings so isnt worth it.

race fairing & seat is all rubbed down ready for painting.
not rushing it like, just want it done for easter or before )

Fitted my heated grips today, put a relay under rear seat fairing and wired into brake light to power when ignition is on. Just fitted the VFR bars I bought off Cbyercar after stripping and polishing to bright alloy and clear laquering the bits that bolt onto the forks and satin Black sprayed the bars themselves. So now have raised bars and heated grips :D Had to also change the brake discs and pads on my wifes car so been out all day and freezing cold now :plainsmile

I changed my head bearings today. Whilst I was there I thought i'd stick some relays in for the headlight as it's just too dark and only getting ~10v at the lamp which meant taking the fairing off to get in there properly. So I may aswell put the new stick coils in.. and fit the new grips.

Yeah it's still in bits.
