sexy edging trim just turned up
looks very nice - it's to protect the edges from stonechips & just finishes it off with a contrasting edge.
last stuff i used was very flexy rubber and i didnt like it... it reacted badly to fuel oil & heat plus i bought the cheaper stuff that you have to glue on & made a pigs ear of fitting it.
this stuff is a lot harder ptfe rubber with a self adhesive strip inside & it grips really well.
should look nice when it's all fitted
it's going on the mudguard, tailpiece, the rim around the tank, fairing and rad cut outs & the hugger, .
hope ive bought enough lol!

today i have made up a bracket for the side stand as per the one on the superhawk forum (thanks for pointing me that way Wicky) and fitted it, the bike now leans at a nice angle instead of looking like it will fall over. saved me welding it.

Sorry Marra. But the IOM government have just put another 2p litre on fuel yesterday. Premium unleaded is now £1.49.9p a litre.
So get a bank loan out before you come over.

Looks nice that Benny, not sure it would work so well with anything other than White or Red though?
Anyways, fitted Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa's

HERE
delivery is a bit pricey but next day guaranteed. they said 9.18am and it arrived at 9.18am!
for the whole bike ie mudguard, hugger, tailpiece, tank, fairing incl rad cutouts you will need 15m
there is cheaper stuff but trust me this stuff is the best, sticks firm with no mess and will look good for ages.
the cheaper stuff looks er... cheap.
you can get quite tight bends with this stuff but for even tighter radii, use a hairdryer on it to warm it a bit.
i'll post some pics up of mine when it's done.
spent the last few hrs cleaning the front wheel up for spraying (cant get powder coating to match the dazzling white lol)
i reckon it would look the biz on any colour bike tbh, nice contrast against red & yellow too.
the main reason for fitting it cos when i started rubbing mine down for painting (last time) i noticed loads of chips and flakes around the edges and rusty bits around the edge of the tank - this will stop all that.
i need some new tank rubbers if anyone has any spare...

a preview....

if you think that is bright you should see it in sunlight lol
just the front wheel, forks & yokes to paint then refit the exhaust, seat & fairing.
cant wait to ride it again
