Mine's been misfiring slightly at 7-9K recently, it needs to go on the dyno for a fuelling run but I haven't got the time.
So I pulled the airbox off and refitted standard stacks, just to make sure it wasn't those upsetting it. Nope, still did it.
Then i noticed that the rear carb wasn't sitting properly in the rubbers, so reseated them. Better, but still not fuelling perfectly, so it's the dyno for you, Stormy...
But I now have those magic no electrode plugs, haven't fitted them as I don't want to change things and muddy the waters. ill get it fuelling cleanly first, then play.
But they are certainly intriguing...

Took it for a good 80 ride to get used to the new flat bars, test the bsabloke mirror extenders and to blow away the cobwebs ..... and all 3 are good
Really liking the flat bars, throwing it round the B roads like a big supermoto and when you are on the fast sweeping A roads there is no draw backs there, you can still attack just like you can with clip-ons....perhaps even more so on our less than perfect roads.
And in town or just pottering in traffic, it's transformed, no sore wrists and better control to deal with the hazards. So I can add flat bars to heated grips.....2 mods I should have made years ago but ony just did !!
And the mirror extenders work great, no vibration, didn't come loose even when landing wheelies and look standard but give full vision behind even with my wider bars
Also manages to nip round to lloydies to see kermet in the flesh....looks even better than the photos
Then I gave it a good wash and put it back to bed

I started to clean up the spare engine ! It looked like 30k all weather. Use :-( .
Al dropped the tester of so after dinner I connected it up and the jump Leeds ...... Sparks lots of sparks . :-(
So I took out the starter motor and took it apart . Looks like someone had been in it before as it had the wrong bolt and no Teflon washers :-(
. So tomorrow I'm going to take kermits starter motor and try that one as I know its a good one .

About 117 last time I dyno'd it, but torque is up a bit since then.
The airbox work helps a lot but frankly until I can get a decent full system on it it won't be making as much as the changes to the intake side will allow.

Ive had a good part worn tyre put on front wheel, got some grip now, Put lightstuds instead of bolts on number plate. Battery on charge might even get it back out of garage this week.

swapped over starter motors onto the spare engine only to find it wont turn over .
so out came the genie plug and as i tried to turn it over by hand it wasn't turning over without a lot of force !
so i suspect that when the bike it came from crashed the engine was left running and seized the bottom end .
so the search continues for a good spare engine
