Possibly. I need to see in side it to access the damage .
The heads should be good but as for the bottom end and gear box I'm not holding my breath . If the bores are good it could be possible to make a good one from the two .
I will start to strip it down over the next few days and might need to borrow some tools to do it .
Time will tell !

How disappointing

So either way your looking at an engine rebuild then. Or just swap the heads over. I can't remember if your compression check came up as good or not on your engine.

It came up not so good lol my engine needs new pistons and a rebore and the valves lapping in and every thing that comes with that .
.
I think I should of stayed with my ordinal plan of getting a sub 10k engine from a good bike :-(

I was going to do this at the weekend but seeing as the weather is good and I had a couple of hours to spare I started on changing my head bearings and wheel bearings.
Front end of bike is stripped down and forks off.
Got all the remains out the headstock, easy peasy lemon squeezey.
Top one out.
Bottom one out.
This is going to give me grief.
Old bearings where still intact to my surprise and not falling apart, but I wanted to change them for tapers anyway. Wheel bearings shouldn't be a problem and I have packed up for the day.
New bearings in the freezer to get a bit of shrinkage before getting back out there tomorrow.

Well not today!! but the other day!! had some sticky 3d carbon effect vinyl left from ages ago,and was thinking my keys keep spinning under acceleration so thought

I would make a protector, didnt turn out bad

may not be good enough for you perfectionists out there but stops the keys scratching the top yoke and I can peel it off when fed up with it plus only cost a few pence
Today i went out the south end of the city for a blast round and called for a coffee on the way back
so i did do something to day

Carl,
good work so far

on that bottom inner race you need to grind it through till it is almost cut through, then hit it with a hammer and chisel till it cracks
