Griff I enhanced yours. Some subtle changes but an improvement.

That bit above the seat was bugging me.


And this needed some depth of field. My eye kept getting pulled outside the garage.

Fitted the newly painted top yoke. Nice gloss black But had to re set the steering head bearing tension as the castle nuts moved when I was cleaning the area under the yoke .... Have to say that job is a right faff with renthals fitted, as you have to remove the bars to undo the stem nut, then put them back on to see how free it all moves... And repeat 3 times

I had also sanded and painted the Ventura rack mounts, so I took the tail plastics off and started to trial fit them, but discovered that they won't fit without me removing the mounts for the grab rail, so until I get hold of the ventura grab rail fitting to add to this kit, I will leave them off.

Once I get that there will be an NWS grab rail and fittings up for sale

Been out for ride as the Sun is Shining and burnt a tank of fuel. Steering with the Tapered bearings feels good. The bike seems to fall into the corners better.

Bought a van, so the trailer will be up for sale, then spent the afternoon in the garage cutting holes for the inspection covers in my new Kevlar Carbonadi generator cover.
Just waiting for the sealing lacquer to go off (cutting holes through the Kevlar and Carbon composite leaves it likely to absorb water and delaminate), another few coats and stick it on.
Horrible to cut through, but then if it wasn't tough and difficult to cut it wouldn't be any good to resist road rash either....
I'll sort a photo once it's on.
Oh, and fitted a bit of bling, oil filler plug suitable for lockwiring.

Maybe not fitting the modified Carbonadi cover next weekend as I'm DJ'ing, which is partly why I bought the van, as putting loads of disco gear into a trailer is sort of weather dependent, otherwise it's two carloads.

But now I have room for a bike in the back, so my thoughts turn to a trackday bike.....

Cleaned both the Harley and the Fireblade, never got round to working out why the neutral light doesnt come on sometimes when you put it into neutral then comes on a few second later, will get round to that one

Finally got round to fitting my cleaned and jetted carbs and K&N filter today.

Nope. I gotta have something a bit better than everyone else.

Anyway yours is only carbon, and it won't absorb as much water as carbon/kevlar.
The kevlar weave is much coarser, and is more cloth-fibre like, as opposed to carbon strands.

Nothing to stop you doing it, if you want, though. Or a small brush and a pot of hammerite.

no worries tony, i have a clear laquer touch up pen indoors, that should do the job...
