me and carl did a little bit more work on the second bike this morning, we changed the rear caliper from a black to a gold jobbie, re-bled the rear brake.
took the rear cam cover off and re-sealed it, there was a small leak coming from it, carl also fitted standard standard needles and jets to the carbs, i also put some home made foam bungs in the airbox(oiled them aswell) then we took off the o/s high level exhaust and linkpipe to fit the correct mikalor clamp(43-47mm) then put that back together, finally carl synced the carbs and fiddled with the mixture screw, she's idling spot on now, i shouldn't need to tinker with the engine anymore, famous last words.

finally as i'm having withdrawl symtoms not having ridin a bike in 3mths, carl kindly let me ride his bike up to canary wharf and back, other than a bit of low down fuelling his bike is spot on, and it makes a lovely sound going thru the limehouse link tunnel, i managed to set off all six speed cameras(just a little present for carl  )
thanks again carlos your a star.....

That's my license gone then.

Got myself some little grindstones for my drill, so I may get out and clean up the cut outs in my clutch cover if I can pull myself away from the computer. It's currently warming my legs back up :)

Decided to remove my hugger, seeing as its for sale, and I needed to photo it. Oh, that rear wheel looks a bit dirty, I'll give it a wipe with wd40, get the chain lube off it before I wash the bike. Actually, that swingarm protector is caked in old gunk as well.........So, sprocket cover off, front sprocketr out, scrape out a lot of years of chail lube, remove plastic thingy ( technical term ) that protects swingarm from chain, de gunk that....Talk about a can of worms !!

Luckily I had a little help from a visitor, kept me on my toes and motivated.

Wash and polish later, she looks showroom fresh.

Next job...Tyres, scottoiler, hugger, smoked original shape screen, and number boards. Oh, paint lower cowl, brake pads, oil and filters, possibly plugs.

Then the alps...hopefully !!

Glad you approve, I'll sleep tonight now.

If I was being anal, I could fit the brand new shock thats leaning up the wall in the corner of my living room......

But its not quite necessary yet !

Sneaked out for a quick blast as it was such a nice day and I needed to check that the steering head races were adjusted ok from when I had the yokes off for painting. I could just feel a bit of a loose clunk when I grabbed the brakes when moving slowly, so had to strip the bars off again and adjust it slightly, test ride again and it's sorted

Then I decided to move the rearsets forwards to compliment the high bars, another quick blast to check the gear lever was adjusted to the correct height, think it feels better, but will test it on a proper run tomorrow with leathers on.
