Wire brush (manual or drill) and wire wool if they're really bad.
Nooo!
Dont whatever you do use wire wool or wire brush -you'll strip off any of the stainless coating thats left

If you've got the patience then the polishing/ autosol method gives the brightest finish (for a while)
I used the green scouring pad and plenty of wd40 (brilliant all purpose muck shifter by the way)
Came up really well and is also lasting well too

Ben,

If you read the post, I did say if they're really bad - I've seen plenty where the only hope left for them is wire brush / wire wool to start with!

I would have thought it quite obvious to anyone but a complete numpty that surface rust /discolouration is tackled with the least abrasive method initially and preferably on an area that's not on show! and then guaging their effectiveness, continue, or change to more or less abbrasive methods!

Hope that's clear to any numpties reading.

:D

I don't care how quick you got her off I still think all that dazzly red paint is bad for her eyes :!: Make more sense if you painted it BLACK think of it as eye protection

photobucket lets you resize it to avator size for this purpose, why doesn't it work ?
it has worked on other owners clubs.
i will try and resize it first but it will probably take me a week or so as im crap on pc's :!:
