People pay good money these days to have the vinyl sound effects put on their digital audio.
It's a bit like adding dust and scratches to video footage for that nostalgic look.

Re: bands - forgotten how good
now i might have had a few
but this lot knew how to kick out the rhythms - this was one of my turn the volume up to 11 in the car tracks when cavorting around london. Will always remember being pissed at the dublin castle in camden at one of their gigs. Believe Wilko Johnson still tours around the pub venues?

Saw Madness at the Dublin Castle a few times. Not quite the style of music generally mentioned here but at least they wrote it and played it all themselves.BigVeeGrin wrote:now i might have had a fewbut this lot knew how to kick out the rhythms - this was one of my turn the volume up to 11 in the car tracks when cavorting around london. My favourite band is probably The Jam. Followed by Iron Maiden. Seen Maiden a few times live but unfortunatley never the Jam, though I saw a tribute band a couple of times that was really good.
I love Rainbow - amazing. Bush are a good british band but not popular here (they are in the US) and one I like that I'll be impressed if anyone knows is Possum Dixon.

Re: bands - forgotten how good
Found an old cd I'd burned a few years ago and put it in my car the other day, All cracking stuff imo
Led zep (Black dog)
Rainbow (Surrender and Since you been gone)
Y&T (Rescue me) forgot just how good this song is.
Ozzie (bark at the moon)
Kansas (lonely street)
Styx (Renegade and too much time on my hands)
Limp Biscuit (their version of behind blue eyes)
Meat loaf (Paradise by the dashboard light)
Skid row (Youth gone wild)
Pantera (Cemetry gates)
Stained (It's been a while- think that's the title ?)
