Seems like I may be a little too new to come in on this Q&A, however can't help myself.
I did my usual research and found an amazing UK can company called FUEL. They have loads of choices on materials and shapes and angles at very reasonable prices. I went for a round (like the orig shape) with a slash cut, fully legal with removable baffle.Very easy fitting. They sound stunning, average at low revs, 4 thou plus they ignite, we know the v twin is the best sound ever, times it by 10, that's close to where these come in    oh and you also get a piece of Kendel mint cake :D

Them slash cuts.
Long and short in one can, depending on where you measured it.......
Taken to extreme they would be long on top and short lower down, or the other way round.
Hot air rises, and so the hotter gases given off by major revs would be at the top of the slash, so lower underneath for torque and short at the upper edge for top end horses.

There's nowt wrong with the theory, now to reduce the weight, and hacksaw at the ready, Wales weekend her we come!

It's a wonder Honda haven't twigged, but don't tell 'em, I'll make a fortune on this idea one day....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
