Re: What Have I Done!!!

Yesterday I took it for a test drive.
I must say I was not all that impressed at first. Don't get me wrong,It was a lovely ride and it tracked beautifully. It handled the bumpy city streets without tossing me out the saddle and breezed through the country lanes. Trouble was, the engine was decidedly lacking. First I just thought I was so used to twins. Mines doing 85 at just over 4k and this was only doing 55 at the same rpm. I kept wanting to change up and I was already in 6th.
The pick up (torque) was nowhere near as good as what I've got.
Disappointedly, I thought I had got myself all worked up for nothing. As it happens, I decided to turn the traction control down to the lowest setting and see if I can make the bugger wheelie..... 8O Feck me! what a machine, now that is more what I was looking for. All of a sudden this puppy wants to play. The traction control setting basically turns the bike from a bland Sunday afternoon ride with mother to a snorting beast. Get it above 8k and you can feel your backside being forced into the seat like you have suddenly doubled your weight :D I think I might like this.
I'm going to have to get used to a new riding style and using a lot more revs, as it's an inline four, but as an all rounder for every day use I think its going to be quite good :D
Here's a pic I took after I got off. Thought I'd better put you out of your misery

As that's a new metallic blue, I say with the "fat-ness" (width) of the mudguard, it looks very much like a new GSX1300R Hayabusa.

I'm with Lloydie, a GSX-S1000 or GSX-S1000F. Have to admit I've been giving those some thought myself (not as a replacement but stablemate, however, I have too much into my VTR to part with it)

Seeing as the letter Z is next to the letter X on the keyboard I'd say your not with Lloyd as he was saying GSXR1000
