Moriwaki VTR on the road at last
where can i get these?
Moriwaki race carbs
Moriwaki velocity stacks
and are you running an open airbox using the underside of the tank as a plenumb?
theres loads of fueling mods i can see that may be beneficial. going on nc30/35 experience, having shorter stacks, and open airbox and things is all good

bloody hell mate, thanks fook yer all right ,do you not have a parachute on these things ?? exciting life you have therekingster wrote:Still here!
Never did get it back on Roger's dyno, but had it on one at the Farmyard rally and it was still down a bit. However it was a mad hot day.
I lapped the valves in and rebuilt the top end, which completely sorted the iffy spot it had at 4 - 5 thou, and it was going well.
Then on July 5th, I ploughed my microlight into the ground and hit a dry stone wall - not recommended. Badly hurt with multiple breaks - now full of metal in my right leg and arm.
7 months later and I can walk again and looking fwd to the spring when I can get the old Moriwaki back out.

just because your breathing doesn't mean your alive
Naaaaaa parachutes are for homosexuals
Anyway, would have been no use as I was only 50ft up and it wouldn't climb, combination of circumstances etc etc. I mean I've flown the thing to the south of France and back, yet crashed it at the airstrip it lived at! Never mind, life's all about learning and getting stronger through adversity.
Here's the "before" and "after" shots of my poor old (not fully comp) plane.

As for exciting, well it was when I flew one again for the first time at the weekend!

The carbs are pretty rare, not sure if they are available any more, but Roger at Revolution is the sole Moriwaki importer and VTR guru, so he will know (http://www.revolutionuk.co.uk) - but I believe they are ludicrously expensive new (I got them with the motor second-hand).KarlosVTR wrote:where can i get these?

Ha ha, God? No chance m8, not my thing. But I do feel I was lucky to survive - see below for pic of huge farm impliment that I missed by a few feet.
However, that good fortune was balanced out by the bad fortune of crashing in the first place and depleting my assets to the tune of £6,500, followed by three to four months off work in fekin agony, with no pay (self employed) not knowing if I'd ever walk again.
Still, had to go back up and banish the demons...
As for the airbox, talk to Roger at Revolution first, as he really, really knows what works and what doesn't. He is a nice bloke and happy to give well respected (ie HRC) advice. Mine was done in conjunction with a stage one race tune, inc flowing, pistons, cams etc.

Sorry too hear about your microlight incident, although pleased that you are progressing in the right direction after 7mths

I now have a slight feeling that you may have posted up about the microlight incident a while back, if you did I apologise

I hope you keep progressing in the right direction

Cheers,
Chris.
