You must factor in the service cost of around £300 too .
Personally I'd get a new nitron shock
£400 for the cheapest Nitron. £270 for the Realm Engineering one.

Did we ever get any feedback on the Realm shocks?

Not that I've read , though I haven't been that active of late .
I'd line another ohlins for piggy but can't see the point in paying all that for a 2nd shock

ohlins normally go for just over the £300 mark, as long as it's in good condition, but as lloydie and the seller says, it'll probably need a service, and possibly a new spring that's the correct weight for you, you won't get much change from £450 t0 £500, but then a new ohlins is about £1000, and they're a quality piece of kit...

VTR with fireblade plastics http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-vtr-100 ... 2809a71f2c

The fairing is way too wide for the bike, which ruins it all a bit for me, there's just a huge gap back to the rads and engine.

That's been on E bay a couple of times over the last couple of years. Looks good in the pics though.

The first 2 things that upset my eyes, are:

1) The radiators look as though they've "slipped" or dropped down off the mountings - due to the shape of the fairing cut outs. Surely that can be rectified by making up new mountings for the rads? If yer gonna spend money doing a bike to look "race rep", then go the extra mile (and a few quid) by not having things that don't look right.

2) The exhaust system. If yer gonna run a 2 into 2 system, at least match them. How does that run properly with a Leo Vince can under the seat, and a stubby GP style can at the side? Either make a 2 into 1 link going into a single can under the seat, or put a 2 into 1 link into the "GP" can. It just doesn't look right to my eyes.

And he says it was "built as a replica to Stoners bike". So, with the bike being painted up, why is it orange on the top, and not yellow? (Yes, I realise that it's not meant to be a 100% exact replica)., but still....am I being to pissy with it?

If it ain't broken...f*ck about with it until it is.

As much as it may appeal to someone who has a yellow Storm, and even if I had a yellow bike, this would be taking it a bit "over the top".

For £26 I could buy me a normal Hi-Viz bomber jacket. Much more useful than the yellow Firestorm jacket.

Mind you, I suppose it could always be used as an "oil mop up rag" for those who own other colours of Storms
