i fancied the tail unit but on closer inspection, it was crap, a really poor fit. the whole bike looked like it had been bodged in fairness....

Just thought I'd post on here because the Ohlins shock for sale on ebay at the moment is mine and I noticed there'd been a few comments about it.
I'm not really a regular forum user, I only joined a few months ago when I decided to sell my bike and wanted to get some advice about the best way to go about it. The bike was fitted with Ohlins shock and Dymag wheels so I concluded best way was to take them off when selling the bike.
I did a deal with Gilson on here for the wheels and unfortunately it's taken a couple of months to get our wheels swapped and sorted but they're going in the post to him today so hopefully he'll be able to confirm that I'm not a rip off merchant by the end of the week. It took so long to sort out partly due to us both being pretty busy and not being in a rush and partly because I had a few issues sorting out the different spacers and sprocket carrier required for the swap. The shock will go in the post as soon as payment is received though as I already have the box ready to go and I'm not too busy over the next week.

Apologies if you're one of the people who contacted me through ebay asking for a buy it now price but I didn't reply to everyone as I honestly had 4 requests in the 1st half hour of listing it and they've been coming ever since. I was initially intending to sell the shock on here for a decent price but need to get the best price possible for it after the bike sold for a fairly low price ( £850 :( ) so the auction will be running to the end.

My feedback may make me look like a wheeler dealer but really I've just bought and sold a few motorbikes and quite a few bicycles as I used to be really into cycling and still have a garage full of bits and bobs to get rid of. The negative feedback on there is from when I sold a treadmill for my sister and the guy turned up to collect it with a car full of blokes and only half the cash to pay for it so I sent him on his way.

If you have any questions about it feel free to contact me direct, my email address is the same as my user name @hotmail.com

Well done for coming forward and owning up

I personally am not interested as It's out my price range. Been spending too much recently... :( I will watch and see what happens with it though. Should be interesting. I don't think you will have any problems with eBay and should get a good sale.

Maybe if you could mention to forum members what you are realistically wanting to get for it, buy it now

Good luck with the sale

I'm interested but for the money i suspect it may go for i could get a brand new Hagon or a Nitron Shock with the correct spring both with remote res and warranty for similar money so i think i'm going to be hard pushed to part with that money for a second hand unit still not decided

if you have a figure in mind you want let me know and we can do a deal?

Thanks

Is this of any use to anyone. Might be a cheaper option for those without Ohlins money -
