Finding out today that one of my fellow PCO's is leaving. No doubt it will lead to more work for me for a bit until they replace him so why am I cheered up by this news...
'Coz he's a proper 'merchant banker' who only has the job as the previous manager ( also a compleate merchant, since sacked for fraud...Didn't like him either...) got him the job as they had history...He was married to the ex-managers mum...
So cheered me right up that bit of news !

Quite appropriate reply, considering the line of work!

And if anyone can deal with rats, it's Mac!
I used to keep rats a number of years ago - ok, not the feral brown jobs, but hoodies and champagne. Lovely intelligent animals. Up until my Champagne one suffered a stroke, and then turned into a nasty bugger who'd rip yer fingers off as soon as look at you. Kinda went off rats after that.

It proper stinks Lloydie !
The whole behind the scenes story of why the ex-manager got the job in the first place & then lost it, would take a GMB sized post to explain !
I can't type that much so I wont...

My standard line to my 'customers' is that I like mice/rats/cockroaches ect because they pay my mortgage...

Shame is we think the cat is becoming radicalised and we have had to hid its passport to stop it heading to Syria
