Yeh fan should kick in around the halfway mark. Make sure you haven't knocked the electrical connector on the front of the right rad when putting the fairing back on. That connector feeds the fan. Also make sure you haven't got any airlocks in the cooling system.

Ahhh sh1t mate.

What's code 209 mean?

It's not a standard code like SP30 or SP60. According to this site, it might be Z09 and that means exceeding temporary speed limit (70mph)...whatever that means?

http://www.yorkshire-divers.com/forums/ ... -code.html

Also why have they put speed 80+, is that like their opinion on how fast you might have been going because they didn't clock you properly? If so I would dispute this one and fight it in court.

From the net:

209 will be an internal force identifier for the alleged offence, it is not the same as the endorsement code which would be applied to the driver's licence.

the code is Z09 which is excess speed, temporary speed limit (70) when it isnt a temp zone and its 60.

if i contest it and it goes to court then they will review the vid and see me pulling away from the car as he's doing 125mph.
it wont end well.
so if he wants to write me as 80 in a 70 thats fine by me :D seeing as 2x the limit and some is an instant ban,,,,
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Unmarked car then I presume?

Was it a traffic car with calibrated speedo etc? Because if not, it doesn't matter what the video shows, they can't do sh1t.

I suppose it would be pretty risky to challenge it based on their car being a traffic car or not.....

I got caught yesterday on the A5 between Llangollen and betws y coed, he must have been sat off in a bush coz I didn't see him... Anyways once he caught me up he had me at 97 in a 60 but gave me a ticket for 82 lol so I was lucky as I should have been in court.
3 points and a £60 fine, not bad for my 1st outing on the storm

Was awful thou as there was 3 police cars and an unmarked bike and also a mobile camera van all within a 10 mile stretch of the A5.. They were pulling bikes left right and centre...

have a good ride down to box hill with carl and my mate chris on his zx10r, it started with chris's bikes battery being kaput!!!
luckily a freind had his bike shop open and he was only 5 mins away, so after an hour of faffing we had a new battery and the fun could begin. we met carl in wandsworth, i won't say what happened, i wouldn't want to embarrass carl...
some great bikes a rykas cafe, loads of triumphs and a stunning 06 cafe racer ducati. there are plenty of dozy car drivers out there who love to sit in the fast lane whilst doing the speed limit....
all in all a good laugh....

I will. I dropped my bike.  Nothing serious just silly and a bit embarrassing. The bike's got a full tank of fuel and I'm at full lock on the steering wheeling backwards and all of a sudden.......I'm not sure how it happened, I lost my footing felt the bike tipping to the right and gone beyond that point of no return and sort of done a controlled drop to the floor, purposely trapping my leg right underneath the bike and sort of pushing the bike away as I fell. The lads picked the bike off of me and not a single scratch, broken mirror.... NOTHING. :D The worst thing that happened was the the mirror folded in at the join of the mirror extender's. So a big plus on the extender in a drop, they saved the mirror.

Had a great ride really gave it some welly and managed to scrape my boot on a left hand bend. I have a habit of keeping by foot below the gear selector ready to change up a gear. I need to remember to lift it up more when leaning into bends.

Think I am going from work to the weston meet up on Thursday evening if you want to meet. I have a few of my friends of old that have got bikes since I used to live in the area going and we are having a reunion but it's a meet up for any one as far as I am aware down there.
