a set of F4i front calipers, to replace the std ones that got covered in fork oil at the Dales weekend.
I could have just wiped the oil off, I suppose, and I have some new pads, but hey, it's an upgrade opportunity. And they're lighter!

So's my car now, though, as on my way back from Jonesy's Sunday night a suicidal deer ran across, and bit a chunk out of the bumper.

Deer? Oh, Deer.
Never mind.

My mate tried to sell me 8 legs of venison for 20 quid. Do you think that's 2 deer?

Just put the first top coat (Black) on my fork lowers and spare swingarm. Pics will arrive later when dry. Still got to order my forks seals, oil etc and then it's time to strip my forks off the bike and fit my custom Racetech springs. :Dancing: Can't wait, I have been waiting a long time to sort the front end out.

yesterday i helped a friend re-fit his exhaust to the nc30 as he took it off to polish it.
when i got there he had done the work and was ready to start it up

   i thought , the headers were only loosely fitted and not done up tight on the heads bang bang it sounded rough . so he turned it off.
as i was tightening the exhaust studs up i noticed the lower radiator pipes had no jubilee clips on :eek2 and the expansion bottle was full to the brim .
this guy needs to step away for tinkering with his bike .
so it looks like ive got another bike to fix over the next few weeks :Beer Popcorn:

I;m sure you will inflict your wise words of wisdom.

I wasn't intending on changing the bushes as they are not cheap, but I guess I will see when I get to see what state the internals are in. My bike has only done just over 8500, not that it looks like it  so I'm hoping they not in too bad a condition. But saying that the forks have bottomed out a couple a times with me so we'll see.

I'm going with Roger's set up including his springs which are 10mm longer. I will be chopping 10mm of the spacers and putting a 1mm relief hole in the cartridge plus the taper on the rebound rod.

That sounds like a good test there Lloyd, I shall do that.

Marty I don't think using 2nd hand bushes is a good idea. I think they will probaly break or at least get damaged removing old ones anyway.

Just put the last coat of spray on the lower and swingarm. They are looking very good. I just hope the paint holds up. I used calliper spray so should be pretty tough, chemical resistant and wot not.
