what have you done to your "bike" today

today i fitted stick coils from a cbr600rr5
first impressions are , it starts first tap of the button (it didnt do that before)
and it idles smother and pulls cleaner im happy as i got them for £20 of ebay for 4 with loom




for any one else doing this you need to solder the bright green to the black/white wire(common colour)on both front and rear ,
and the other to the other one job done
i used the plug of the standard coils to make the little looms

took mine out for a good ride today to test the tyres proper....
decided it was a bit too twitchy at low speed so i took the rear spacer out and it's bob on... very happy with it
if anyone wants to add a 6mm shock spacer to theirs at wales i'll stick it in my pocket.
it's an improvement with the std setup but not needed with the springs in mine & stuff.

btw the power one are awesome - very good tyres!!!

also flattened the curve out of the oem levers to make them a bit doggy leggy as they were too far away to reach comfortably at high speed.

i just took them off, wrapped them in a cloth and gave them a bash with the copper hammer on the floor. works great

I noticed that I needed to jack the back up more when I fitted the Pilot Road 2CT on mine..........needed an extra 2mm to get the same turn in I had on the old tyres.

thought it might just have been me!

Didn't do anything with the bike today, not even a ride I did however cut all the timbers for my workbench and sand the top timbers down. Bought a vice and some other bits and bobs. It's gonna be good to have a bench at last

Just fitted new battery and rectifier after old ones blew up , key in choke out finger over button closed eyes
and .............................. ya beeeuuutae

Gave her a bloody good clean and wax and checked tyre pressures after 1000 miles on my new tyres

5PSI out on the front and 7 on the back, rode to asda to use their digi pump to fill them back to 36/42 and all good for my 3 hour run to southend

Yesterday I did the Police Bike Safe course. Well worth it for nowt (I was actually getting paid to do it). Learned a fair bit and it's already had an effect on my riding. Certainly smoother now

Booked it through the Master Driver up town. Even at £30 it's a bloody bargain mate and when you've done it, you'll wish you had done it sooner. For the £30 you get a full days tuition and assessed riding, free tea, coffee and biscuits, free lunch and a goody bag with loads of stuff including the IAM book that retails for £9.99. You're basically paying for your food, drink and goodies and getting a days tuition for free. Everybody I went with said it improved their riding and there was a range of experience from 6 months to 40 odd years.

fitted gear linages(new rose joints)
fitted two long snorkels ,
cut up fireblade swing arm and mocked up the braced vtr swing arm i hope to get it to the welders next week


when i get it back i will be saving up to get it and my six spokes power coated ail/silver

Today I fitted braided hoses to my bike and changed that horrible brake res that refused to play ball. Scuse the dodgy quality pictures but its hard to show front braided lines when they are hidden behind the fairing.
