Just been told about the weather warnings, on Facebook by Seb.. Looked at the weather and it's heavy rain for most of the weekend..

I don't want to sound like a fairy here, but if the weather is crap I won't be going. Covering any sort of long distance on the Hornet is tiring enough with no wind protection, last thing I need is being soaked too. I'll see what the weather is like before my heading out time and then I'll post on here whether I'm going or not.

Sorry/ Not sorry depending on the situation

:shh: :shh:

The friday. Going across Saturday would be just as bad according to the weather, and unless I fancied something like 400 + miles in one day (fat chance. Wouldn't even do that in blistering sunshine  ) I'd only come over for the late afternoon/evening. In which case I'd be there for one night, and eh. Can't be arsed with that really

looking at the weather because we are coming in from the south we may get hit a little by the rain,

Heavy rain all day Saturday, but going out will be a preference to everyone and the rain should ease off for the ride home on Sunday if we leave mid morning.

not the best but as long as I don't have to ride up in the rain I'm happy, not too worried about riding home as I know a warm bath is waiting for me.

Virt, I agree with you here

you do sound like a fairy

the year that Playerone crashed, I rode across in the morning [120miles], did the 250mile ride out in the rain and rode home in the rain..........and I was still smiling. the roads and the banter makeup for any wetness

Shush  The fact I came to work in fancy dress today has nothing to do with that comment :(

Problem is that on the hornet getting blasted by the wind everywhere constantly is horrible. It's one of the reasons I love the VTR, though any fared bike would be just as good. Tucking behind the screen I don't feel anything in terms of wind. Anything more than 60mph for an extended period of time knackers me. I have arms as thick as twigs and as strong as lettuce

Oh, now's a good time to add I don't own a set of waterproofs. Either good textiles (they uhh.. ripped) or an over suit for my leathers

Sorry Jamoi, come London later this month

True that

It's all about the banter and getting to know some other folk off this forum.

Wet riding doesn't normally bother me, it's just the combined distance and wind that bothers me. I love wet riding, to an extent

TV? Don't watch TV except for Top Gear or the MotoGP. I'd just sit at home programming actually  Need to release my app soon and I'm falling behind

I can appreciate the fact it's tiring with twig arms, if you do decide to come (I think you bloody well should!!) you can get an emergency poncho from most supermarkets for under £5 and that would certainly keep your top dry.

Just remember - the memories will last a lifetime, the aching twigs and soggy knees will last a day.

;)

A day is a long time  I is young and fail to put things into perspective. Or something

I'll think about it, but it will be an on the spot decision (not usually my best ) dependent on the weather at that given time. I'm also still living off the tenner that's kept me for the last week and waiting to be paid so.. Down to my last £1.40 now. Can't quite get to Wales on that, especially since the hornet will kick into reserve at some point on the way home today. Like I said I'll post on here my decision but I can't guarantee anything, I would genuinely love to go. I've met Al before and a few others at the Dyno Day. Everyone I've met so far seems alright and no one particularly strikes me as a Richard on the forum so.. I dunno. Just wait and see
