what have you done to your "bike" today
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
As its a holiday here.......
Time to take the bike out for a ride..... just too bad I live in a new area and don't have anyone local to ride with.....
I'll try to remember to take a few pics.

Loud pipes don't save lives, knowing how to ride your bike will save your life.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
just come back from a visit to carlos's, bikes running lovely and smooth, on the way home i passed two bike cops who'd pulled someone over on the otherside of the road, i didn't think anything of it because i was filtering thru slow moving traffic at the time, went thru the next set of lights and picked up the pace making swift progress. about 3 sets of lights later i get the blue lights behind me...
i slow down and one of the officers pulls next to me and asks me to pull over at the next safe spot to do so.....
anyways if i've learn't anything over my driving/riding years, its to speak nicely and not to bullsh1t a copper. as they were getting off their bikes i could hear one say to the other, i thought he'd turned off, i think thats because it took them a while to catch up with me, hence me making swift progress...
the first thing i was asked was how fast i'd been going. i replied probably a bit over 30mph, but my cans are loud and when you hear me down the road it does sound like i'm travelling faster than what i am..... .......ok so that was a bit of bullsh1t....
they then proceeded to tell me off about the small numberplate, i knew that was coming, but i told them that because i was fat the full size plate had rubbed against the back tyre...
i think that broke the ice with them, totally true btw.
i then told them that putting the uk on the plate had made the letters'numbers smaller, which i wasn't expecting.
as one of them had a butchers round the bike, i explained that he wouldn't find a tax disc as it was in my wallet, i told them that living in east london there was no way i'd leave my disc on the bike, one of the coppers told me he doe's the same thing....
after a 5min chat and some pleasentries i was sent on my way with a warning about the small plate.....
oh and they told me to stiffen the rear shock aswell......
how very dare they.....
all in all a result.....

Left the unreliable heap of sh1t in the garage, can't even think why I'm bothering keeping it out of the rain.
When I can be arsed I'll rip the engine out and kick it round the garden for a while, slap some new bits in and thrash the gonads off it.
Bored now.
