Touched up the stone chips on the fairing, match is not spot on but looks hell of a load better!

Swore at it several times when I broke down on the motorway and then felt proud of myself when I figured out why the engine was kaput along with the electrics. Found out a wire had broken in the loom. A bit of biting and bodging and she soon breathed again. Now held together with insulating tape until I can sort out a new wire. That will probably be a garage job though.
Edited with extra bodge!

Well had the fairing off to locate the dodgy wire causing my tacho to go haywire....

Found it..fixed it....
Thought whilst it was off and on the grass...

I'd apply a bit of white vinyl to tart up the front
Needs redoing really as I didnt stretch it over the side light properly, but you get the idea!

Managed to finish early on friday and went for a run to Ullapool via Bonar Bridge, Lairg, Ledmore Junction then home via Garve, Dingwall, Alness and Inverg.
One of the better days we have had up here the last 4 weeks ie, it was'nt pissing rain and blowing a gale.
Good to get out tho
Cheers
A.M.

Rode it, watched tony.mon fit manual CCTs*, even helped a little, picked up a bunch of useful tips*, rode home, got cold & wet but still thoroughly enjoyed myself...
* thanks Tony

Rob, what exactly had caused the wiring problem making the tacho to go haywire
I like the white number board

Morning chris,
It seems I was slightly premature with my cry of "I've fixed it!!!"
Basically a few months ago my trip started resetting when ignition was switched off, then a few weeks ago the tacho started to work intermittently, sometimes not working at all sometimes picking up randomly.
Basically when I took the fairing off one of the wires (can't remember the colours) was loose both sides of the connector! Sorted that, went for a ride and both trip and tacho worked fine! Ride in to work this morning and tacho worked most of the time but still dropped off a couple of times! How annoying!!
It will be another fairing-off-fest this weekend and I'll do a proper job of tracking it down on the wiring diagram. The connections on he back of the clocks are fairly corroded so they will be cleaned up at the same time.
Really loving the White on the front, that will be sorted again whilst the fairing is off to tidy it up as well

Morning Rob,
Cheers for the up-date, although sorry to hear it may not be completely fixed. Definitely worth cleaning up the other corroded connections there I agree. Good luck in getting it sorted.
I've been thinking about painting my center front panel white now for sometime, but perhaps using vinyl might be a better option.
Chris.

Fitted vacuum take off adapter on the front and hoses front and rear, adjusted cct's, fitted new chain and sprockets to our lasses hyosung as well as new clutch cable and adapter then went for a ride. Quite a productive day.

Replaced my rear wheel bearings, and whilst I was at it changed the rear pads as well, which went suprisingly well even for a ham fisted oaf like me. The hardest part was getting the bloody rear wheel back in, but even that was not too problematic once I found a suitably sized bit of wood to chock it with.
I'm looking forward to test ride tomorrow.
