hi lloydie
yes mate, it looks like things are moving again, the resprays only being held up now because parcelforce say they tried to deliver the petrol tank on the 22nd but no one was there, so now it's sitting in their romford depot collecting dust until i get back, the thing is there was always someone in the workshop on the 22nd so i think someones telling porkies....mmmmm
theres so much still to do
i can't wait tho............. :P

update time.
i got back from spain this week, and whilst i was away, i bought another spare blade front wheel and i was expecting the 19ltr tank to have arrived over xmas, to my surprise, the wheel arrived missing the tyr and front axle.....doh and the tank never arrived, parcelforce cocked it up and ended up sending it back the the place i bought it from.....tossers i won't use parcelforce again if i can help it.
anyway back to the bike, all the panels/plastics have all been repaired and primed ready for spraying blue.

seat cowl
rear fairing
left/right fairing
headlight surround
fairing lowers and tank when it arrives tomorrow will also be respayed, although the fairing lowers will be black.

then it will be time for a mix of s/s and titanium bolts.

They're looking good Marty  A bargain price by the looks of it (well done Micky) :D

I wonder if the pistons in these calipers are stainless steel :?:

i've just given them a little touch up, it took the paint 3 days to go hard and thats with a few hours of heater directed at them
i'm giving stainless steel a miss and going straight for titanium now..... :D
i think i'll try and rub down the nissin markings as marra suggested, i'll probably balls that up and have to respray them again......doh!!!

mate, i really don't know, i'm going to have a serious talk with the mechanic and sprayer tomorrow, i'm back in spain at the end of this month and i get back to blighty on the 14th of march, the main thing i'm aiming for is that its ready for the essex workshop day. i've still got to mot/tax/insure it. and god knows what the insurance will be, because my claim is still ongoing from the accident 15 months ago....... :(
all i can say is watch this space

late last night/this morning i had my first try at vinyl wrap, omg what a pain in the rear end, it took me about an hour to do an old abused original screen i had lying around. made a few mistakes as the pictures show, i'd give my effort 6 out of ten, theres deffo an art to it. i#ll have another go this weekend at a single seat cowl.
i just hope the carbon fibre lamenating kit is a bit easier, i bet it ain't tho

heres the mistakes high lighted, in fairness it looks better in daylight.....

Pop the bubbles with a pin, then cover the marks with trackday or run-what-you-brung stickers.

Isn't it going to be a bit hard to see through when tucked in, though?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
