i'vee just had a phone call from a friend who was out for a ride this afternoon, his first words to me were......how many points did carl get then..... :eek2
it turns out he rode past carl whilst he was getting spoken too by the plod.
the really shocking bit is, my mate and his friend were doing twice the speed carl was doing not 30 seconds before they went past him..... :eek2
just shows how lucky and unlucky someone can be....... :(
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!

Back home now :)

Disconnected the rectifier after the batt had cooled down and stopped smoking on sams R1 (about two hours)

Bump started it and limped it back followed him back to his house

Bit gutted as it ruined was what going to be a good ride out had black dan on stand by with his van (saved my bacon in his van on my VTR once)

ALSO

MORIWAKI can update, well its fantastic never used etc all bits original with plastic still on them etc

My dad absolutely loves it and was so happy i had bought it for him

Went to mount it only to find it does not fit the 954, the instructions say 1998 but didn't think the 98 had a bolt on type exhaust?

the guy advertised it as a 2001 model which after checking various sites the 929 and 954 used the same can so figured it would fit

Could tell my dad was gutted as he just pissed off back in the house when it wouldn't go over the 954 unit, its got a nice titanium blue flame evo can on but its wombles all compared to the MORIWAKI TITANIUM ZERO :(

have to find out what it fits and possible sell it on now or wall mount it in my room

No... :( What the differences in diameter, there must be a way of making it fit with a step up or down ring/adapter. Maybe you need a gasket

its the internal mate that it goes onto like a big cone it sits over and bolts down onto, hard to explain the 954 has a bigger cone thing than this,

had a look on the net and it looks to be for the 1998 918 models :(

wombles gutted as its a work of art mate and as brand new, my dad was well chuffed with the surprise present when he got back from his holiday

Think he may of bragged to his mates he's got a MORIWAKI exhaust now too and now when he goes down the office on the bike its still going to have a ryther bland blue flame :(

Hadn't seen my dad that excited about somthing for a good amount of time he was like a kid at christmas wanting to fit it asap

i feel your pain seb - having that nice pink can and not being able to fit it .
hen the model changed on the blade the exhaust fittings changed tho they look the same but one from a 95 wouldnt fit a 98 .

went out for a late afternoon early evening ride but gave up after 20 miles as a ginger chap in a red Nissan pulled out on me while i was dragging a knee tho not all his fault it was mine to for going fast and very low made me hard to see.
lucky my tyres were hot and i did the bucking bronco while braking hard whilst lent over . the ginger apologised and i gave the  and carried on my way .
8 miles later im approaching a nasty cross road junction you know the ones with high grip red asphalt! anyway a young fat blonde girl heading towards me turns right in-front of me and smiles :Argue 1: and stops blocking my lane .
as i was in a 30 mph zone and knowing this junction i was doing 20ish but she turned and stopped so suddenly.
i had to grab the brake hard then the rear wheel lifts 2 foot clear off the ground
i stop in time just then i see the front passenger now she was HOT looked like daisy duke :erection:
but had the look off im going to die face on her .
there was a chap in the back giving me large :eh: .
needless to say the driver got a right :Argue 1: and the chap ran off
anyway after that i headed home waiting for the 3rd one as they say it happens in 3s but it didnt and made it home without incident. time now for :wonker:

Very Nice! Must be some way to fabricate a connector piece.

Reminds me when I bought a featherweight titanium header for the storm 2nd hand for only £100 many moons ago and it all fitted perfectly except the for link pipes - I've since regretted sending it back for a refund as with some subtle engineering it could have been made to work.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
