Not string....lock wire to stop the grips from twisting/sliding off......

I had lock wire on my MotoX bike, ditched it after slicing my hand open landing a jump! Will grip glue not hold them on?

Replaced the storms' exhaust packing today.
Been long overdue! A layer of bout 10mm was all that was left of the old packing, forced against the sidewalls of the carbon cans. What a difference! Cant wait to get her back on the road again. Still itching from the fibers though. Scratch, scratch...

Fitted a new set of Q3s so I'll let you know how they rate in a couple of weeks.

Fitted new rear wheel bearing after reading about hawks bike collapsing, as one of mine was not smooth to spin.
Then drained the coolant, took clutch cover off and swapped the ignition pickup with one off my spare engine (thre is a slight misfire at 4k).
then put fresh coolant in after it all boiling over in London and being replaced with Geo's drinking water.
Still need a trip to halfords for a bulb for the rev counter before I put the fairing back on.

Also think I can hear the front CCT on the way out as there is a bit of chain rattle when cold. I have the stopper mod fitted so I am not worried, but if any one has a spare std one sitting in the shed can they send one to me?

Al I have two in my other engine not new and standard but if you want one I can drop it off on the way to work

I have two in my other engine as well, but I was ony going to disturb them as a last option, as it means the engine can't be turned over.

If you will have the same issue then let's wait to see if someone has a loose one sitting in their shed before you disable your engine.

getting a visit from my favorite spanner monkey today, i better get the kettle on, did a bit of tinkering yesterday, found out that when we rebuilt the bike, we forgot two bolts....
nothing serious, they hold the back of the undertray to the rear subframe, thats why my numberplate fell off.....doh!!!!
all fixed now and its as tight as al's wallet........
now to solve a little mystery.........

My fuel light has just come on at 95miles My bike is definitely more economical at speed along motorways/A roads.
